INTRODUCTION

A community is defined as a group of people that lives together who share a common way of life which is expressed in shared beliefs, goals,
values, purpose, responsibilities and also communication. An occupational, social, religious, and other group that shares similar interests or
characteristics that may further live in that setting and can also share usual tradition.

Barangay East Daan Bago has a wide and clean surroundings, affectionate people, and also a community that has an alliance for each other. This
barangay has a Rural Health Unit which is a big help, they also have Secondary school and a free flow of water. The population of East Daan Bago grew
from 1, 017 in 1990 to 1,314 in 2020, an increase of 297 people over the course of 30 years.

Family X is a nuclear family which is composed of a mother, father, and 1 daughter. The Family is living at East Daan Bago, Samal, Bataan.
They have been living here for about 6 yrs. Throughout our interview, we have figured out that their house is a very accessible setting. Their house is
located 150 meters away from the Barangay, 100 meters away from the National Road, and 1 kilometer away from the City Hall and RHU. The married
couple, Mr. and Mrs. X has 1 daughter who is currently working and has her own house. Father X has hypertension and is currently working as a
security guard. Mother X has hypertension, high cholesterol, spondylosis, arthritis, diabetes, and ear problems. Mother X has her own sewing machine,
she sews when there are customers.

A. Family Structure and characteristics

The time that we spent in terms of interviewing and studying the family was 2 hrs for 6 days, which gives us enough data. The resident X is located
at East Daan, Samal, Bataan.

They are a nuclear family because they consist of mother, father, and daughter. The married couple frequently live happily and close to each other
and also they help each other in terms of tasks and work. The constituents of this nuclear family, specifically the married couple, can help and share
knowledge about the tradition that they have.

Socio-Economic and Cultural Factors


The socioeconomic status affects the economic as well the social standing of the family member. A family that has high income can competently
accommodate the needs of family members. On the other hand, A family that has low income can lead to risk for multiple stresses including mental
health, impoverishment of the basic psychological needs and the likes.

An adequate amount of work is a huge help and honor for Family X because Mother X did not finish school while Father X has a vocational
degree. Father X is employed at Imelda Samal Bataan as a security guard. In contrast, Mother X is a housewife and also a part time tailor in their house,
she is also the one who is in charge in terms of maintaining the cleanliness of their house and also the one who’s doing the chores inside of it.
