Colour can have multiple impacts in a film from just showing a character's emotions without
any physical movement or feature. For example, a character that always wears dark tones
will in the eyes of the audience be portrayed as a negative, however a character that wears
very bright vibrant colours will be portrayed as a positive and happy characters.

The reason I have gathered for why pan labyrinth uses vastly different colour pallets to show
her relationship with the two worlds and distinguish from them. The warm colours of the
first word make the viewer feel more at calm and confutable even with the creepy hand
monster. However, in the other world the dark greens and blacks make the viewer feel
uneasy and creeped out by the cold environment.
