1.1 AutoCAD Environment Familiarization

Starting new CAD drawing

 Launch AutoCAD.
 Click “Start Drawing”.
 Analyze the image before starting drawing.
 Use different tools from the Ribbon or input “Command Aliases” to create your drawing. You
can also use different MODES and SETTINGS for easy way of drawing.
 You can save your drawing for future references.

1.2 Introduction

AutoCAD is a software used for creating CAD drawings. It contains various tools for easier
creation and refinement of drawings. Your drawing can have infinite space while using either Ribbon or
Command Aliases in creating it.

1.3 Objective

 To use AutoCAD to create CAD drawings.


 To analyze images on creating drawings.
 To familiarize with the environment of AutoCAD.
