Annex 1 Workaround Documentation

Re Section 5.3:

Post-data Input of Missing ESD Mark

Preconditions:
• The item number shall be released with a new ZGS (drawing & geometry status) and date. Certain information shall
be given on the KEM and the KEM part relation to make it clear that no other parts modification has occurred and
that (e.g.) no tool change is necessary.

• A master data method shall be specified for entering the ESD mark or other master data in Smaragd at the item
number (item no. referred to as basic no. in drawing).
Only a work-around is possible at present for item numbers that have no drawings. In this special case the master
data method "3D drawing to follow" may be specified.

The following operations shall be performed by the component manager (BTV/KV) in the
Engineering Client for item numbers without a drawing/3D geometry:

1. Obtain KEM from PASS.

Complete fields as follows:
Cause/reason: ESD mark changed or added
Implementation of the change: already so executed

2. Create new version chain for the item number

 RMB (right mouse button) - new version chain.

Select item number  RMB – Change – Edit master data.

Select master data method "Part number as order term", enter editor and department, click on the check box
“ESD-Kennzeichen” (ESD-sensitive) or leave it empty " " in case of no risk.

3. Enter item number, set to Engineering.

4. Drop item number on the KEM in order to create the KEM part relationship (master release).
Select PAEV number -> Not PAEV-mandatory
Release type -> Standard
Change type -> AE

5. On the KEM part relationship (master release):

In the field "Description of change" state the reason: "ESD mark added, no part change"
Stock information:
Exchangeable -> X: exchangeability obtains
Tool change -> 0: tool change not required

6. Select KEM and perform release pre-check  result: OK

7. Send KEM to the workflow. Select KEM, RMB  Workflow – Start workflow.
