Pipe Fittings

Elbow - a crucial component used to change the direction of fluid flow in a pressure piping system. It is used to join two
pipes with the same nominal diameter or different nominal diameters and to turn the pipe and subsequently the fluid
direction in a 45- or 90-degree direction.

Bends - any pipe offsets or changes in direction. It is a general phrase that also refers to elbows. The term "elbow" in
engineering refers to either a 90° or 45°, short or long radius. Elbows are subject to size, bend radius, and angle
restrictions set by industry regulations.

Return bend - A pipe fitting called a return bend enables a 180 degree direction change for a pipe. Return bends have a
U form and might be thought of as two L bends combined.

Street Elbow - a kind of plumbing or piping fitting designed to obliquely connect a pipe to another fitting. The gender of
its two connections distinguishes a street elbow from a conventional elbow.

Wye Branch - the fitting to use if you need to split your duct line into smaller halves. The sizes are shown first for the
branch side, then for the discharge side. The best grade galvanized steel is used to make all wyes.

Tee - A Tee is a pipe fitting with two outputs positioned at a 90° angle to the single inlet connection. It has a "T"-shaped
design. Generally speaking, tees are used to combine or separate a fluid flow.

Coupling - A very short piece of pipe or tube with either socket or female pipe threads at one or both ends, used in
piping or plumbing, enables the connection of two pipes or tubes of the same size or different diameters. Pipe fittings
called couplings are used to extend or end pipe runs.

Nipple - A nipple is a fitting used in plumbing and piping that consists of a brief section of pipe with male pipe threads
often on both ends. It is used to join two other fittings.

Adapter - In pipe systems, a fitting or adapter is used to join straight pieces of pipe or tube, adapt to various sizes or
forms, and serve other functions including regulating (or monitoring) fluid flow.

Union Patente - without the aid of a sealant or conventional bonded coupling, join two pipes together. This indicates
that the pipes may be relatively easily detached and serviced whenever a PVC union is used to join pipes.

Bushing - a pipe fitting that connects two pipes of various sizes. A bushing has internal and external threading. to
increase effectiveness and lessen noise and vibration. Bushings are useful for drilling operations in hydraulic external
gear pumps, motors, and drill jigs.

Bend Offset - a crucial curve to be aware of when running conduit and one that is constructed independently of the 90°
stub and the back-to-back bend. It is typical to shift the conduit a particular amount while keeping it parallel to the pre-
shift section of the conduit and running in the same direction.

Plug - are threaded plugs that seal pipe ends to stop fluid from flowing. They are utilized in a variety of industries,
including home plumbing, building, hydraulics, transportation of gas and oil, agriculture, the production of food and
beverages, and industrial chemical processing.

Cap - Pipe caps are made to cover pipe ends of various forms and serve as a protective measure. Pipe caps are mostly
used to waterproof the connections. Additionally, they are employed to seal the extremities of hydraulic or pneumatic
pipelines and tubes.
