Recalling the events that hit all of us as citizens of the world, namely the corona virus that started

at the
end of March, this incident really trapped us in such a complicated situation and the impact caused by this
pandemic did not only have an impact on our social lives but on education where this field attracts the
great attention of everyone from the government and from us ordinary people. During this gripping
pandemic, education began to be diverted through online classes where all teaching and learning activities
were carried out online through google classromm or other media and the impact arising from online
classes was varied, ranging from positive and negative impacts, but in my opinion, negative impacts of
this is more dominating than the negative impact because then children will be lazier to learn because
they will only rely on the available internet, but the days continue until now. Until the end of this year, it
turns out that the world of education received good news from the minister of education and culture, Pak
Nadiem Makarim, that next year or 2021 schools and universities will return to face-to-face learning.
"Starting January 2021, the face-to-face learning policy starts with the granting of permits by the local
government or regional offices or offices of the Ministry of Religion and continues with tiered permits
from education units and parents,"). Pak Nadiem said, the education unit must first fill out a checklist
regarding face-to-face learning preparation and submit it to the respective local governments. Later, the
regional heads who will conduct an assessment of whether the education unit is appropriate or not yet
carry out face-to-face learning. Pak Nadiem reminded regional heads to consider a number of factors if
they wanted to give permission for face-to-face learning activities to educational units. Local
governments are also asked to pay attention to the level of risk of spreading COVID-19 in their regions.
Among others, the readiness of health service facilities; readiness of the education unit in implementing
face-to-face learning according to the checklist; access to learning resources and ease of learning from
home; and the psychosocial conditions of students. Nadiem explained, face-to-face learning is still carried
out by following strict health protocols, such as in class conditions keeping a minimum distance of 1.5
meters. That way we're not really sad about this situation.
