SUMMARY OF THE HSE ACTIVITY
HSE inspection are basic tools for maintaining safe conditions and identifying unsafe practice in
the workplace. Its a practical ways to identify and correct unsafe equipment, conditions, processes
and work practices.
During inspection, the Plan, Do, Check, Act approach achieves a balance between the systems
and behavioural aspects of management. It also treats health and safety management as an
integral part of good management generally, rather than as a stand-alone system.
The safety and health committee (SHC) can review inspections and monitor the progress of the
recommendations. This analysis can be used as part of the continual improvement process for the
occupational health and safety program or management system.
