Frequently Asked Questions: New Hire Connect (NHC)

1. What is DStart?
DStart is an end-to-end Digital Onboarding Experience tool designed to welcome, orient, and support USI new
hires through their first 30 days post joining.

• Important: Please login to DStart using your Deloitte credentials and start completing tasks

2. Who is a buddy or Onboarding Advisor (OBA)?


A buddy is a peer who can help you get started by answering first-level queries and introducing you to office
practices and culture. If you have been assigned a buddy, please feel free to connect with them via email or any
other collaboration tool like MS Teams or Zoom, depending on their availability.

3. Who is a Resource Manager (RM)?


Resource Managers are responsible for staffing and deployment on project/work. They seek opportunities that
align with your aspirations, skill set, and preferences, while simultaneously satisfying the demands of the
business.

4. I have not received the details of my Onboarding Advisor/buddy. Whom should I reach out to?
Please write to the OBA team at USIOBAAssignments@Deloitte.com for your buddy details.
Meanwhile, hereare a few contacts whom you can reach out to:
• For Audit new hires, please reach out to your Resource Manager (RM) SPOCs for your respective locations.
The details of these SPOCs will be shared by the W2D team in an email.
• For non-Audit new hires, please connect with your Engagement Specialist (ES) to discuss issues and guide
you as required. Look for an email with the subject line: Important New hire updates! or click on the below
link for the details of your ES (Only applicable for HYD, BLR, GUR & MUM).

5. Can I start completing mandatory trainings ?


Please visit the My Compliance Dashboard on DeloitteNet and complete all mandatory trainings using your
Deloitte laptop only.

6. Can I access Deloitte applications/internal portals using my personal device?


You may access DTE and Talent on Demand portal using your personal device. Please check with your manager/
RM Point of contact for the rest of the team specific applications and portals.
7. Where do I charge time for attending New Hire Connect? To whom can I reach out for help?
1 hour to be charged under the GAA (General and Administration) code for today's connect. The syntax of the
code is GAAXXXXX, where X’s are to be replaced with last five digits of the cost center number. Please visit
Deloitte Time and Expense tool (DTE) on DeloitteNet to find your cost center number. Also refer to the DTE
walkthrough PDF attached in the invite explaining the time charging process in brief.
We recommend that you reach out to your buddy/Engagement Specialist/Resource Manager for help while
filling DTE for the first time.

8. How many hours do I need to charge in a day/week?

Please reach out to your buddy/Engagement Specialist/Resource Manager for queries related to DTE.

9. I am facing issues in joining the Zoom meetings for NHC. Whom should I contact?

Please write to the Welcome to Deloitte (W2D) team at USIndiaofficesW2D@Deloitte.com.

10. What are the next steps from W2D perspective?


An email invitation will be shared with the venue, timing, and other program details closer to the program
date. We request you to keep your team leads/reporting managers informed about your availability for the
program. Please note, this is a two-day mandatory compliance training that all the new hires need to attend.
Request you to plan your schedule accordingly.

11. I am facing a technical issue with laptop login, access to DNet/DTE/TOD/HR Workways.
