Update On PLAB 2 Bookings in March
Dear Dr Farid
I’m pleased to let you know that in March you will be able to book your PLAB 2 place.
We are opening bookings in phases. We’ll invite candidates to book their PLAB 2 place, based on when
they passed their PLAB 1 test.
As you passed PLAB 1 before October 2020, please log on to GMC Online between 11:30 am (GMT)
Monday 15 March and 15:30 pm (GMT) on Friday 19 March to book your PLAB 2 place. You are
guaranteed a place if you book during this period.
For more information about PLAB and how we’re opening bookings, please visit our new FAQ webpage.
Our systems are likely to be very busy when bookings first open. For a smoother experience, you
may wish to wait until later in the week to book.
Everyone who has received this email will get a place so please only use one device to book.
If you don’t book your PLAB 2 place between 15- 19 March 2021, it’s unlikely you’ll be able to
secure another one this year.
Please don’t contact us to ask for a place on a specific date. We’re unable to accommodate
individual requests. You will be able to see all the places available to you in GMC Online, and our
new web guide answers questions about the booking process.
We appreciate the past year has been uncertain and challenging for many PLAB candidates. We’ve
listened to feedback about our booking processes, which is why we’re releasing the rest of our 2021
places gradually, inviting those who’ve been waiting the longest to book first. It’s also why we’ve made
improvements to our systems, so that you’ll have a smoother booking experience when you login to
GMC Online.
To help us prioritise our work to increase PLAB capacity, please only contact us when you need to. All
the latest information we have is available on our website and social media channels. If you do need to
communicate with us, please do so in a professional way.
Thank you for your patience. We look forward to welcoming you to our clinical assessment centre in
Manchester later in the year.
Yours
