Further, the Flying Squad Heads are authorized to appoint members for the
Monitoring Committee, one each from the teaching faculty of major
branches of study, viz., Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronics &
Computer Engineering either from their Institutions or from any of the
nearby Government / Government-aided Institutions. Members may be
selected from Industries, nearby Research Institutions, or any other Govt. of
India organizations if required for special branches. Senior faculties with
previous experience in guiding Project Works are to be selected as
Committee members.
The Principals of the Institutions will submit the list of projects elected
by their students, branch-wise, with the names of students in each batch
before 24.11.2023 with a short note about each project. The Committee
shall go through the proposal carefully and approve the list submitted by
them, with its comments and suggestions, if any, and send the approved list
to them before 11.12.2023.
While approving the list, the following should guidelines must be adhered
to:
i. The project must have been done by the students themselves
and not by any outsider, that is, the diploma students with
their own knowledge and skills must be able to do the project
with the faculty’s guidance. Repetition of the same project done
by any other batch of the same year / previous years shall not
be permitted.
ii. The main motive of the project work shall be gaining knowledge
and creativity skills by the students and not merely to improve
the infrastructure facility of the Institution.
iii. The expense towards the project work shall not be a big burden
to the parents.
iv. The work involved in the project must be proportionate to the
number of students involved in the project so as to occupy them
for about six months duration.
v. The total number of students in a batch shall not exceed six.
vi. There should be enough qualified staff available in the
institution to guide students.
vii. Readymade, purchased or assembled projects should not be
considered as a student project work.
viii. Maximum expenditure to be incurred by a student for project
work (including project report) should be restricted to
Rs.2,000/-.
