Volleyball Secondary Girls

In the first match of LNTVHS Lady Dragons against Pintuyan school, the battle became tense, in
the first set Pintuyan scored 25 - 15 against LNTVHS Lady Dragons. But in the second set, the LNTVHS
Lady Dragons recovered with a score of 09 - 25 and it was consecutive in the third and fourth set where
the score was 16 - 25 and 25 - 16. 3-1

In the championship game, the LNTVHS Lady Dragons and San Francisco District fought, in the first
set the LNTVHS Lady Dragons won with a score of 25 - 18 and the second set with a score of 25 - 18. But
in the third set, the San Francisco District won against the LNTVHS Lady Dragons with a score of 25 - 16.
But the LNTVHS Lady Dragons recovered in the fourth set and they were crowned champions.3-1

The athletes who participated in the said championship game were honored.

Best attacker: Marinel Comabig Genil

Best server: Janette Nicole O. Gumatay

MVP and Best receiver: Rica Mae Mapait

Sir Wilven Ceasar Tubo was also honored as the best coach.

Volleyball Secondary Boys

In the first match of Liloan District against San Ricardo District, Liloan District was calm but the
other side was nervous. In the first set Liloan District won and it continued until the last set with a score
of 25-6, no set was allowed to win the opponent until it ended.3-0

In the championship round, Liloan district and San Francisco district fought to find out which group
will be taken to the provincial meet. In the first set of the game, Liloan won with a score of 26-24, in the
second set, Liloan District still won with a score of 25-6. Until the last set, Liloan District still won with a
score of 25-18. 3-0

The athletes and the coach who received the award were honored.

LNTVHS hosts PAAA Meet 2023

Liloan National Technical - Vocational High School accepts the challenge of hosting the Panaon Area
Athletic Association meet 2023 on February 9-10.

Athletes of different events, coaches, officiating officials, teachers and visitors from the Panaon Area -
Liloan, San Francisco, Pintuyan, and San Ricardo gathered together to witness the showcased of
different sports skills of student-athletes.

Liloan MPS, colors, Saint Ignatius Loyola drums and Glockenspiel Corps, athletes, coaches, Liloan NTVHS
drums and Glockenspiel Corps, district and delegation officials paraded around the town as one of the
highlights in the opening of PAAA Meet 2023.

Mrs. Lourdes E. Castil, District Supervisor delivered words of welcome in behalf of the Liloan 1 and 2
districts who are the host district this year.
Mr. John Nicole Lee, Palarong Pambanaa 2019 athlete in jumps together with EVRAA athletes led the
lighting of friendship urn.

Mr. Lee also led the oath of amaturism that signifies a solemn promise to perform with highest degree
of honesty and integrity in true spirit of fair play and Mr. Ronelo G. Maturan, Liloan District 1 Sports
Coor for the oath of officiating officials.

Hon. Jonna C. Adan, Liloan Municipal Mayor give an inspirational message and words of appreciation to
all who helped in making the hosting of PAAA Meet 2023 in Liloan possible.

PCPT Mark David D. Velmonte, OIC- Liloan MPS conducted a short security briefing to give reminders to
ensure the safety of all participants.

Mr. Wenceslao S. Piloton Jr. , Liloan Athletic Association President announced the playing venues as the
official start of the tournament.

Liloan bags seven golds in throws and jumps

Liloan Delegation took home two gold in the throws and jumps competed during the PAAA Meet 2023
on February 9-10.

The Athletics event, particularly jumps and throws, were played at Liloan Central School. It was
participated by four athletes coming from four towns with both elementary and secondary
representatives.

Jumps were composed of three categories: triple, long, and high hop.
Cedrey Steve G. Comabig triumphed in the high jump and triple jump for elementary boys, LJ Marie H.
Badonio won the triple jump for elementary girls, and Chloe Joy S. Remedio earned the triple jump for
secondary girls.

Julymae B. Caham champed the elementary shot put and discus throw, while Khein E. Reyes earned first
place in the secondary boys discus throw.

Sa lumipas na mga henerasyon ay hindi pa rin natin malilimutan ang kahusayan ng bawat manlalaro
ng Liloan sa taekwondo, ang bagsik, lakas at husay sa pakikipaglaban na tila ba'y mga sundalong
handang sumabak sa kahit anong labanan. Ngayon kahit pa lahat sila'y bagong balang tatama para sa
pangarap ng isang atletang mag-aaral, pagpupugay pa rin ang sa kanila'y nakamit.

Panaon Area Athletics Association o mas kilala sa tawag na PAAA sa rehiyong Southern Leyte ng IAD
3 ay ginanap sa Liloan National Technical- Vocational High School (LNTVHS) noong Huwebes (February 9,
2023) at natapos sa Biyernes (February 10, 2023). Maraming manlalaro at kalahok ang dumayo para sa
kani-kanilang laro na sasalihan. Ngunit isa sa mga masigasig na laro at ginagamitan ng man to man
combat ay ang taekwondo na nagbigay muli ng mga titulo para sa distrito ng Liloan, na s'yang binigyang-
pugay ng lahat.

Pinangunahan ni Justine Llemit ang pagka panalo para sa kanilang kuponan sa fin weight na
kategorya, sinundan naman ng iba pang mga kalahok mula sa kanilang kuponan na sina Joanna B.
Regidor, Ghian Carlo D. Estandarte, Jhunnel T. Mondala, Lea Jane C. Trigo, Junry L. Ursal, Raiza V.
Cabeling, Jamaica Chandra Dipay, Carlos Cabales, Clarrise P. Baay, Princess Dianne L. Mengulo. Ngunit
kabiguan ang inabot sa panghuling laban ni Nico John Olazo sa kadahilanang sa pagkaubos ng hangin at
enerhiya. Samantala, lamang naman si Ursal sa kanyang kalaban dahil mas bihasa at puno ito ng
enerhiya na ginagamitan ng mga tiknik lalong lalo na ang back kick, at turning long na s'yang
nakapagbigay ng malaking puntos at naging dahilan para magwithdraw ang kalaban sa kalagitnaan ng
laro, gayundin ang ibang kalaban ng distrito sa Liloan. Silang lahat ay inaasahang makikipagtagisan sa
paparating na Provincial Meet.
Sa pagsabak ng larong ito ay dapat buong buo at handang handa ang iyong kalooban, pati na rin ang
iyong katawan at kaisipan .Kailangang maging determinado sa bawat laban mapa-lokal man o
propesyonal na liga. 'Wag din kakalimutan ang pinakamabisang sandata sa pakikipaglaban ang pagdasal
at paghingi ng gabay sa panginoon sa lahat ng labang haharapin.

San Francisco delegation aces in the table tennis championship game held at Liloan NTVHS SMAW
building during the Panaon Area Athletic Association Meet 2023.

San Francisco athletes: Danielle Claire P. Layugin won the table tennis elementary - girls, Dhynxryl P.
Guron on the elementary - boys category, and Fevie Arligue on secondary - girls.

The athletes showcased their skills and astonished everyone on their astounding performances and skills
from beginning until the championship game, they obtained the top 1-4 ranking in the Elementary Girls
and Boys and the Secondary Girls category.

However, San Ricardo player June Andrew Bagooc showed dominance and won in the secondary - boys
table tennis championship against San Francisco delegation.

Liloan, San Francisco, Pintuyan, and San Ricardo billiard players participate in the 2023 PAAA billiard
competition at Cue Sport's Bar N' Cafe.

Mr. Nelson Malubay, tournament manager together with the officiating officials, and referees : David
Chua (Table 1), Victor Chua Jr. (Table 2), and William Chua Jr. (Table 3) oriented the athletes before the
start of the game.

Billiard match was parted into two categories: 9 and 8 balls and all matches were raised to three in order
to advance to the championship round.
9 Balls Category RESULTS:

(TABLE 1) The player of San Francisco - Rainier S. Lorona won with 3 wins, 0 foul and 2 loses against
the Pintuyan player - Jesriel Swin P. Castulo with 2 wins,0 foul and 2 loses.

(TABLE 2) Seth L. Bohol a baller of Liloan predominate with 3 wins, 3 fouls and 2 loses against the
opponent from San Ricardo - Jerricson C. Lumido with 2 wins, 5 fouls and 3 loses.

(TABLE 3) Liloan female player - Chezka Hope M. Casera succeeded with 3 wins, 0 fouls and 0 lose
versus Roselyn C. Para - a Pintuyan female player with 0 wins, 4 fouls and 3 loses.

San Francisco male baller - Rainier S. Lorona ( Player A ) became the victor of the championship match of
nine-balls category with 3 wins, 0 foul and 0 lose against the opponent - Seth L. Bohol ( Player B ) of
Liloan with 0 win, 1 foul and 3 loses.

As for the women ballers, Jamaicah S. Dy ( Player B ) a female baller of San Francisco prospered with 3
wins, 10 fouls and 1 lose against the contender of Liloan - Chezka Hope M. Casera ( Player A ) with 1
win, 6 fouls and 3 loses.

8 Balls Category RESULTS:

(TABLE 1) The player of Liloan - Andree B. Chua predominate with 3 wins, 0 fouls and 0 lose
against the contender of Pintuyan - Nino Jay R. Gonia with 0 win,0 foul and 3 loses.

( TABLE 2 ) The baller of San Francisco - Jeros C. Pabelonia won with 3 wins, 2 fouls and 1 lose
against the opponent from San Ricardo - James Archilles N. Mercado with 1 win, 3 fouls and 3 loses.

(TABLE 3 ) The athlete of Pintuyan - Raiza Marie T. Ruiz predominate with 3 wins, 8 fouls and 1
lose against the baller of San Francisco - Kim Shenelle B. Leran with 1 win, 18 fouls and 3 loses.
Andree B. Chua, athlete of Liloan aces the championship match of eight-balls category with 3 wins, 2
fouls and 1 lose at the game against the opponent from San Francisco - Jeros C. Pabelonia who got 1
win, 0 fouls and 3 loses.

For the women ballers, the winner was Lara Isabel Berenice O. Casera from Liloan with 3 wins, 4 fouls
and 0 lose while the contender from Pintuyan got 0 win,2 fouls and 3 loses.

Association meet 2023 sa larangang Basketball na ginanap sa Liloan gym.

Sa kategoryang Basketball Girls-Secondary, talaga namang todo hiyawan at sigawan ang mga
manonood sa unang larong naganap sa labanan ng San Francisco at Liloan delegation. Naipanalo ng San
Frans ang labanang ito sa iskor na 54-47, dahil ito sa sunod sunod na puntos na atake ni Ampalayo,
sinundan naman ito ng pagkapanalo ng Pintuyan laban San Francisco 53-47 at Liloan girls laban sa
kupunan ng Pintuyan.

Sa kategoryang Basketball boys - Secondary ay marami ang namangha, nauhaw at napasigaw sa


ipinakitang laro ng bawat kupunan, San Francisco laban Pintuyan 71-67, wagi naman ang Liloan laban sa
San Ricardo, sa larong ito nagpakita ng bagsik at bangis sa laro ang kupunan ng Liloan sa gabay ni coach
Delfin Obinque, Liloan laban Pintuyan 68-63, Liloan vs San Francisco 57-36.

Patigasan ng laro naman ang ating matatamasa at matutunghayan sa tatlong delegations sa


kategoryang Basketball boys - Elementary, wagi ang Liloan laban sa San Francisco, San Francisco laban
Pintuyan sa iskor na 45-34, at Liloan laban Pintuyan 59-25.

Sa kategoryang 3X3 Basketball boys - Secondary ay talagang dikit ang labanan ng tatlong lungsod -
Liloan, San Francisco, at Pintuyan, doble wagi ang Liloan laban sa Pintuyan at Liloan vs San Francisco. Sa
larangang 3x3 Basketball girls - Secondary naman ay talo ang babaeng manlalaro ng Liloan laban sa
Pintuyan girls.
Ang mga madadala sa Provincial Meet ngayong Pebrero 25-26, sa kategoryang Basketball boys-
Secondary : Liloan, Basketball girls-Secondary : Liloan, Basketball boys/Elementary : Liloan, 3X3
