The Effects of Neonicotinoid Imidacloprid on the Electroretinogram (ERG) of Hymenopteran Insects
(August 2016-March 2017)
~ Constructed a reference and live electrode, which were inserted into the thorax and placed on the
surface of Nasonia vitripennis.
~ Performed an Electroretinogram to assess an insect’s peripheral visual system to determine its
potentiality as a contributing factor to honeybee collapse disorder through failure of foragers to return
to the hive.
~ Presented research at the Association of Southeastern Biologists Conference in 2017
