Western Thoughts
Western thought is often
represented in one or two
dimensions, but it may also be
portrayed in three dimensions,
such as the views of people,
landscapes, and wildlife seen in
western locations. Two or three
dimensional is a very realistic
impression and extricate
tangentially tied to the culture
of America which reflect on
previous events. Western
philosophy also contains three
theories based on humanities:
divinitas, huminitas, and
barbaritas.
SUBJECT: ART APPRECIATION
Compare
Seeing Philippine art as merged
with western art and these two
traditions as coming together
and harmonising with one
another is one approach to
positively see Filipino identity in
the arts.
Filipino Notion
The Filipino concept of
personhood, or pagkatao, refers
to the process of becoming
human, and the Filipino artist
creates a product that
demonstrates this process
Filipino culture in its original
form. The Lalim, Loob, and
Labas are three Filipino
concepts that connect the
deepest characteristics of each
Filipino, whether inside or
outside of himself. This concept
opens the heart and mind of the
others.
