The Camden City School District was informed today by the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic
Association(NJSIAA) that our Eastside High School football team has been disqualified from the
upcoming playoffs. This unfortunate decision stems from a recent incident in which a student was
allowed to participate in a football game without meeting the eligibility requirements set forth by the
NJSIAA.

We want to assure our students, parents, and the entire community that we take this matter seriously,
deeply regret this oversight, and fully acknowledge our responsibility in ensuring that all of our
student-athletes comply with the regulations and guidelines set by the NJSIAA.

Eastside High School maintains a strong commitment to upholding the highest standards of
sportsmanship, integrity, and adherence to the rules and regulations governing high school athletics.
The Camden City School District has conducted an internal review of our procedures to understand how
this unfortunate situation occurred and have already taken steps to prevent such incidents from
happening again in the future. Our coaching and administrative staff will receive additional training and
support to ensure that all athletes' eligibility is thoroughly verified before participating in any
competitive events.

The Camden City School District community has always been committed to fostering the values of fair
play, discipline, and responsibility among our student-athletes. We deeply regret the impact this incident
has on our football team and the broader school community, and we apologize for any disappointment
and frustration this may have caused.

The NJSIAA's decision to disqualify our team from the playoffs is a painful reminder of the importance of
upholding the rules and regulations of high school sports. We will fully cooperate with the NJSIAA in
implementing any necessary sanctions or corrective actions required as a result of this incident.

We would like to thank our dedicated students, parents, and community members for their continued
support of Eastside High and our athletic programs.
