FINAL TERM EXAMINATION

Instructions: Write an essay answering the question, "What have you learned from AAP_101?"
Minimum of three paragraphs.

Having Art Appreciation as one of my first subjects as a freshman is a great refresher for me. I
used to dislike doing art, studying music, and appreciating art, but as I discovered my talent in digital
drawing, I became intrigued by the various perspectives and values of art. Art appreciation had a
significant impact on my artistry passion. It motivates me to pay more attention and appreciate the art
of art appreciation. I learned that art appreciation is about the art itself, not just its history or context.
How a person views art from he/her perspective and how one’s imagination creates an artwork.

I learned that appreciating artwork implies more than just saying it's beautiful and describing
what you saw because you must be able to see and appreciate all of the elements that go into creating
such a fascinating work of art. How light and dark its color is, how the lines used are projected, and how
the overall artwork affects our emotions when we see it is one of the things I learned in this subject. I
also discovered that some arts are truly designed to be perceived in various ways. For example, consider
a popular song on Spotify; many people enjoyed it, but from a different perspective. Some people may
enjoy it as a sad, inspirational, or worship song. Art appreciation is limitless. It is diverse and interesting.
You can appreciate art again and again, depending on how you feel or what you've discovered with it
each and every particular day.

It helped me to explore what I love now; art; doing art. What I really enjoyed in art appreciation
is the final performance as we chose to make a music video. I enjoyed filming, directing, and editing. I
find myself happy while doing those things, it fulfills what my heart wants as Fine arts major in
Multimedia Art is my totga course. I can't go into detail about what I learned in this subject, but one
thing is for sure I definitely enjoyed the subject and the way it was taught to us. Thank you for those
wonderful sessions this semester, Sir. Thank you for letting us be part of your discussions and letting us
be ourselves when you’re asking for opinions. Art appreciation 101 is indeed amazing, and everyone
must encounter it at least once in their life.
