Netflix features a great library of anime in all genres, including action, for all anime enthusiasts with
Netflix subscriptions. From Demon Slayer to Jujutsu Kaisen, fans can find some highest-rated action
anime by MyAnimeList on Netflix to stream now.

Fate/Zero – 8.32

Saber holding her sword in the sunset in Fate/Zero key art

Fate/Zero is a multi-genre anime that combines intriguing stratagems, conspiracies, and well-
choreographed action scenes with scenarios that verge on slice-of-life. Fate/Zero takes place ten years
before Fate/stay night, during the Fourth Holy Grail War. It also stands as one of the Best Battle Royale
Anime.
The Interludes between battles, where the characters communicate and evolve, raise it above merely a
simple action series. Even though the battle scenes are far between, they are entertaining, and the
choreography is impressive. The music in Fate/Zero also mixes with the action in each scenario.

Neon Genesis Evangelion – 8.34

How Neon Genesis Evangelion Changed Anime

After its release in 1995, Neon Genesis Evangelion became one of the most famous anime of all time. It
is still relevant as the best psychological sci-fi action anime full of excellent mecha action. Serious
subjects of human emotions, growth, and psychology also strengthen the show.

The battles between the EVAs and the Angels are exciting to watch. Evangelion appears to be another
gigantic robot show in which giant piloted robots known as EVAs battle superpowered aliens known as
Angels. After a few episodes, though, it begins to spoof the genre, shifting the focus away from the war
machines and toward the humans while still providing hardcore action.

Hellsing Ultimate – 8.36

A vampire holding a gun in Hellsing Ultimate

Hellsing Ultimate might seem like just another vampire anime a first, but it is a hidden gem in the ocean
of the vampire genre. Every combat sequence is incredibly gruesome and graphic, with guns, swords,
and mutilated victims. Intrigue, betrayal, conspiracy, gore, sardonic comedy, and plenty of kicking action
all make the series intriguing.

Hellsing Ultimate follows the story of a vampire, Alucard, who is a slave of the Hellsing organization that
kills unwanted vampires. He is the pinnacle of all action and the principal weapon of destruction. The
action scenes are fluidly animated, and the blood and gore seem realistic. Everything about the action is
fantastic, from the explosions to the exploding skulls and the soundtracks that fit the Gothic vibe of the
series.

Yu Yu Hakusho: Ghost Files – 8.45

Yu Yu Hakusho anime series

Yu Yu Hakusho is a legendary action anime that has stood the test of time. The balance between
entertaining action and a catching story is perfect in the series. In a nutshell, it offers enough of
everything an anime fan wants: action, drama, comedy, and a few love themes.

It centers around Yusuke Urameshi, a 14-year-old school rebel and an anti-hero who dies while saving a
small boy. He is given a second chance at life, but only if he agrees to work as a spirit detective. He
engages in combat with demons and monsters throughout the series. The battles last for as long as eight
episodes, promising the best action. The characters have different abilities and classes, demonstrating
various degrees and types of strength while keeping the audience engaged in the fights.

Gurren Lagann

- 8.64

Gurren Lagann

Mecha and Shounen fans get a great deal of fighting and robots in Gurren Lagann, along with substantial
emotional and romantic scenes. Fans and critics both received it well, and it ranked among the top
anime for a long time after its release. It’s a high-octane ride with ultra-masculine protagonists and high-
octane conflicts.

The best part about Gurren Lagann is that it has a great story to back up all the action. Gurren Lagann
tells the narrative of a young man named Simon who lives in a post-apocalyptic future in an underground
town. Simon and Kamina journey to the surface to defeat the Beastmen and recover the Earth for
humans. The series is incredibly action-packed, and all of the battle scenes are expertly choreographed
and fascinating to watch.

Jujutsu Kaisen – 8.70

One of the best high school anime to watch on Netflix, Jujutsu Kaisen is jam-packed with entertainment
in every sphere. It has a lot of action and a compelling plot, but the epic fight sequences are the
highlights. They’re well-animated and employ a variety of methods. The show becomes more brutal and
grotesque as it progresses, but this adds to the overall value.
The series leaves everyone obsessed with it. It includes high-quality action scenes with lighthearted
moments, but it has a dark overall theme. Yuji Itadori’s quest to free himself from Sukuna, a demon, is
the basic plot of the series. The series is full of mystical aspects, well-developed characters, and never-
ending suspense.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion – 8.70

Code Geass has a straightforward and a little cliché story, but its battle scenes are exceptionally well-
crafted. It’s got a lot of action, bombastic dialogues, and eye-catching images, making it one of the best
sci-fi thriller anime that should not be missed.

The story revolves around Lelouch Lamperouge, a high school student at Ashford Academy who is
actually a prince in the Britannian imperial dynasty and the seventeenth in line to the throne. He
develops a loathing for the emperor of Britannia and vows to avenge his mother’s death and his sister’s
crippling one day. After meeting a mysterious young woman named C.C., Lelouch obtains the Geass
power, which allows him to force anybody to do whatever he wants. Lelouch transforms into a strange
person known as Zero and begins his struggle against the Britannian Empire.

Mob Psycho 100 II – 8.81

Mob Psycho 100 Mob Style

After the incredible first season, Mob Psycho 100 became of the most anticipated anime sequels.
Thankfully, it surprised the fans and critics with an even better second season, showing remarkable
improvement in all aspects. The second season of the series is more action-packed than the first, among
other things.

Mob’s character improvement in the second season is the best part. He is now developing and
comprehending his role as a superhuman psychic. However, the threats they face become more
substantial and unsettling, and the story takes a serious and darker tone. Even though it is a slice-of-life
comedy anime, every episode in this 13-episode long season gets a fair share of action scenes.

Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc– 8.90

Demon slayer promo image

As its name suggests, Demon slayer has action in all seasons as the hero trio fights demons. However,
the Entertainment District Arc is well-known for its brilliantly executed action sequences paired with
spectacular animation. Even though the arc lasted for only 11 episodes, it had no dull moments in terms
of stunning fight scenes.

The Entertainment District arc begins with a demon devouring a large number of people in the
Entertainment District. Following their encounter with the Sound Hashira, Uzui Tengen, the hero trio
infiltrates the District to eliminate the threat. Visuals, intense action scenes, and quality animation make
it enjoyable for action lovers.

Hunter x Hunter – 9.05

Kurapika closeup, and Kurapika red eyes and chains

One of the most popular animated shows of the 2010s, Hunter x Hunter, remains a classic shounen
lasting 148 episodes. As a remake of the same anime made in 1999, this 2011 version performed
remarkably well and thus gained a spot in Netflix’s catalog.

Hunter x Hunter has a seemingly simple plot revolving around Gon Freecss and his journey to pass the
hunter examination with his three friends. However, when one starts to watch it, it keeps getting twisted.
It has beautiful friendship scenes, diverse character personalities, comedy, and martial arts action to
keep the audience hooked. The training and battles are something to watch out for unforgettable action.
