PROJECT PROPOSAL FOR ORSEM and BUWAN NG WIKA 2023

I. Project Rationale:
As the new academic year will commence, an eventful and fun-filled day awaits all the
participants. One-day event which caters two different activities on the same day of August 31, 2023, to
kickstart the event an ORIENTATION SEMINAR (ORSEM) will happen in the morning, and followed
by the celebration of BUWAN NG WIKA 2023 in the afternoon. The said event is a way to provide a
good start atmosphere throughout the whole academic year for the participants especially to the new faces
in the institution.

a. Project Description:
As the new academic year begins, it has been a long-standing tradition of our school to
welcome new members of WRI Colleges – Metro Naga family, --- Together with the COL-Metro
Naga, Faculty, Staff and students. In collaboration with campus office, the orientation program aims
to provide a structured and holistic introduction to new environment for both the old & new students,
faculty, and staff of WRI Colleges. This orientation program also aims to provide students with the
tools that they will need to be successful within their academic, such as acquainting them with their
campus and the academic supports available to them, as well as providing them with opportunities to
meet their fellow students and build meaningful connections.
 b. Objectives:

The primary goals of the orientation program are as follows:

 Acquaint new students with the mission, programs, and services of WRI Colleges
 Acquaint and educate students of their rights and responsibilities within the campus
community
 Provide students the opportunity to interact with other students, faculty, and staff of
WRI Colleges
 Enable students to begin to feel connected to the WRI community and feel confident
and excited about their school choice

Seguridad, at Inklusibong Pagpapatupad ng Katarungang
Panlipunan."

a. Paglalarawan ng Proyekto:

Alinsunod sa itinakda ng Proklamasyon Blg. 1041, s. 1997, na nagpapahayag ng taunang Buwan ng

Wikang Pambansa tuwing Agosto 1-31. Ang pagdiriwang na ito ay ginuguita ng bawat Pilipino taon-taon
upang ipaalala sa atin ang kabuluhan ng sarilng wika, ang pagpapahalaga ng kulturang Pilipino at mga
pagkakakilanlan ng lahing Pilipino.

b. Layunin ng Proyekto:

 Maisakatuparan ang pampanguluhang Proklamasyon Blg. 1041, sa pamamagitan ng paggunita ng

kulturang Pilipino ‘di lamang sa paggamit ng wikang katutubo ngunit maging sa pagsasagawa sa
likas na pamumuhay ng ating mga ninuno.
 Maiangat ang kamalayan ng mga mag-aaral at mamamayang Filipino ukol sa kahalagahan ng
multingualismo sa paglikha ng isang bansang Filipino sa may pagkakaunwaan.

 Manganyak ang mga mag-aaral na lumahok sa mga aktibidad na isinagawa ng SAMAFIL na may
likas na kaugnayan sa wikang pambansa.
