RATIONALE

Youth’s essential involvement in cultural preservation is a core and foundation of society, governance
and sustainable development.

Summer is just around the corner, hence, the Pambayang Pederasyon ng Sangguniang Kabataan
(PPSK) Cabugao has lined up activities that will immerse our youth and fellow townsmen in sports and
physical activity; academic excellence; and social inclusion.

In line with this, the Pambayang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan Cabugao Chapter would
like to conduct a summer fest activity. These activities commit itself for public and youth
development, growth and wellness. Moreover, to ensure that youths should develop greater awareness,
understanding and appreciation of our heritage and present situation towards the evolution of a
consciousness that will improve the quality of lives.

OBJECTIVE
 Promotion of sports development and camaraderie for the participation of different barangays
as they team up and engage in the different sport and social activities.
 Develop physical talents to their maximum potentials.
 Engage in competitive activities, while promoting sound health, safety, and physical fitness.
 Exemplify conduct as a means for learning good citizenship.
 Learn to appropriately experience both success and failures in an educational environment.
 It motivates students and drives them to put forth their best effort and sparks interest and ignites
desire to learn more and more

PARTICIPANTS:
Participants are bona fide residents of Cabugao, representing their respective barangays.

CONTENTS

1. BASKETBALL

GUIDELINES FOR THE CABUGAO BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT 2022

1. To be eligible, a player must either be:

a. a bona fide resident of the barangay for at least six (6) months certified by the Punong Barangay;
AND
b. must be a registered voter in the barangay he will represent as evidenced by the applicable
COMELEC records or certification by the Punong Barangay.

2.In addition, a player must be 21 years old below BEFORE THE START OF THE TOURNAMENT.

3. Team composition – Each team must submit a list of fifteen (15) players, and additional two (2)
players as reserved in case of any emergency who will be eligible to play for the entire duration of the
tournament.

4. Protests:
a. Protests on the eligibility of players can be entertained only during the elimination period. The team
protesting must attach proof for the consideration of the committee. In addition, a cash bond of Php
______________must be paid to avoid unnecessary protest. If the protest is proven to be true, the cash
bond shall be returned to the protestant. Otherwise, it shall be forfeited.
b. In-game protest – Protest in terms of officiating, alcohol intake, etc. shall be presented to the
committee within twenty-four (24) hours after the game in question. In addition, a cash bond of Php
______________must be paid to avoid unnecessary protest. If the protest is proven to be true, the cash
bond shall be returned to the protestant. Otherwise, it shall be forfeited.
c. Protests will ONLY be entertained and resolved by the PPSK Officers and LYDO.

5. Registration
c. All teams must also pay the entry fee in the amount of Php ______________ before the start of the
opening ceremonies. Failure to pay the entry fee shall result in the forfeiture of the remaining games.

6. A player should play at least one game on the elimination period to be able to play on the semi-finals
games.

7. Any act of physical violence will not allow the accused to play the entire tournament. Decision will
be made by the PPSK Officers. The decision is final and irrevocable.

8. All SK Officials are requested to join in the parade for the opening ceremonies.

9. FIBA rules shall apply.

a. 10 mins. per quarter;
b. One (1) timeout for each of the first 3 quarter, Two (2) timeouts for the final quarter;
c. Overtime – extra five (5) mins and one (1) timeout.

10. Game Format

a. Elimination Round – __________ Robin;
b. Semi-Finals – __________ Robin;
c. Magic 4 – __________ Robin;
d. Battle for 3rd – One (1) game;
e. Championship – Best of Three (3).
