R2.2 R200/2.014.2
R2.3.X R303
R2.4/R2.5 R304

2.2 Collecting logs and information

In case a technical support ticket is created, it is advised to collect logs and information to send with
the ticket.

A new script getlogs.sh is available in the terminal ( located at /var/volatile/run/debug ).

Once you are connected in ssh on the phone via the login admin, under /data/home/admin, start the
script getlogs.sh ( it can take several minutes ).
I t generates in /tmp a file of type 008009fa0d83c-logs.tar.gz which has to be provided when an issue
occurs. If a previous file *-logs.tar.gz exists, it will be removed when the next getlogs.sh is executed.

2.3 Hints for installation, migration or upgrade

Note Upgrade is done in background. The time of unavailability is reduced to the reboot time, which is around
1 minute.

Note If the binary flash version is R100 1.007.2 (which is the case for the sets manufactured before September
2015), then the set cannot be used as is and must be upgraded to an official binary version available on
the Enterprise Business Portal.

Warning With OpenTouch ecosystem, starting OT R2.1.1, all ALE hardphones must contain the fix for Poodle
vulnerability and support SHA-2 certificates (see TC2027 and SA0053).
If the phone sets have already been deployed on OpenTouch R2.1.1, then this warning is out of scope.
Else: therefore, before deploying phone sets on OpenTouch R2.2 or before upgrading OpenTouch to R2.2
release, the sets must contain a version compatible with SHA-2 certificates and Poodle vulnerability.
For 8088 Smart DeskPhone set, it means that it must be upgraded to R100 1.008.2 version minimum
before being deployed on OpenTouch R2.2 or before the migration of OpenTouch to R2.2 release.
To proceed, the administrator can either use OpenTouch still in R2.1 release, or use ALEDS tool
(downloadable from the Business Portal).
Note that the terminals manufactured after September 2015 do contain a flash version compatible with
Poodle vulnerability.

5.1 TLS 1.2 protocol
The upgrade and downgrade process is now (from version R303 03.013.7) also handled by the phone by
using the TLS1.2 protocol.
The version R303.03.013.7 introduces a new OpennSSL version (move from 1.0.2h to 1.0.2i). And
therefore, it leads to some restrictions.

With TLS1.2 activated on OT server side

Your current version is 13.7. You can upgrade/downgrade to any version but for downgrade only one
partition gets the downgrade

If your current version is before 13.7 (13.4, 12.x, etc.). You cannot upgrade/downgrade to any version.

With TLS1.0 activated on OT server side

For downgrade you need to wait enough time for the set to finish its treatment for inactive partition,
instead of deploying a different version after reboot immediately. From a normal user point of view, after
he deploys a version from server the behavior would be:

Current version Deploy version Result Comment

13.1 13.7 OK Normal Process

13.7 13.1 OK with one Firstly 13.7 succeeds in downgrade to 13.1;

additional reset Then it boots in 13.1 and downgrade inactive
partition in background, and fails, and reboot with
restore flag;
It still boots in 13.1 and finish downgrade of
inactive partition with restore process.

6 R303.03.013.1.2407 ( for 4GB v1 and 16GB v2 8088 phone )
