Fault Detection Using The Wide Band Analysis
Additional Note:
For higher-frequency phenomena there is no such general understanding. There are a number
of reasons for looking closer into this frequency range, including increased distortion by
energy-efficient equipment, interference with equipment such as that used for
communications, reduced service life of equipment, the availability of measurement and
analysis tools, and pure scientific curiosity.
Paper studied:
1. A Study on Reduction Techniques of a Wideband Common-Mode Voltage Produced
by a PWM Inverter (This system effectively reduced the common mode voltage in the
frequency range from 100k Hz to 100 MHz)
2. Time-Frequency Analysis Based on Minimum-Norm Spectral Estimation to Detect
Induction Motor Faults (high frequency resolution and accuracy in the time-frequency
domain)

Frequency Motor Models and Partial Discharge Phenomenon
4. Analysis of Permanent Magnet Motors in High Frequency—A Review
5. The Application of High-Resolution Spectral Analysis for Identifying Multiple
Combined Faults in Induction Motors
6. High Frequency Resolution Techniques for Rotor Fault Detection of Induction
Machines
7. High-frequency modeling, parameterization, and simulation of IPM motor drive
systems
Abstract
Induction motors are critical components for most industries. Induction motor failures may
yield an unexpected interruption at the industry plant.
