Dubai Sports Council is organising the
second edition of the Schools
Tournament, only for girls. The
tournament’s purpose is to find Emirati
talents, provide them a platform to grow
through structured training by
registering them with sports clubs in
Dubai.

This is meant for UAE

nationals in Private and
Government Schools
• The tournament is supported by Dubai Educational Zone
(Government Schools) and KHDA (Knowledge & Human
Resources Authority for private schools)
• The official announcement and invitation to the school to
participate this tournament will be sent by both these entities
• A total of around 1815 students, from grade 3 to grade 12,
participated in this tournament that was held from November
26th 2014 until May 2015
Tournament Objectives
• Work towards stronger engagement in sports events in a
country where practicing could be hard and provide girls
with positive reinforcement about their sports participation
on a regular basis

• Talent scouting by clubs in Dubai who will then provide

training and incentives to the best talents and develop them
into national/international sportswomen

• Learn about teamwork from a young age, goal setting, the

pursuit of excellence in performance and other
achievement-oriented behaviours critical for success in the
work place
