After making a line infront, we’re going to bow to them and greet them
EVERYONE: Ohayo Gozaimasu!! (with bow)
Karlwin: And today we’re going to make you feel as you were in Japan
Karlwin: Well, First let’s check on our team which is now around the different landmarks of Japan. Hey
Nikki, how’s the view there at Mt. Fuji?
Nikki: I’m actually enjoying here; I can see those five beautiful lakes surrounded by it and it has this
perfect volcanic cone shape which is covered by snow. I just wish I could climb up there...
Jc: Actually, you can. Mt. Fuji can be climbed on one of four trails and the most popular trail is the
Yoshida trail. But climbing Mt. Fuji is only permitted during the period in which trails are open in the
summer.
Nikki: oh yeah, it’s hard to go hiking in a mountain full of covered snow and knowing that Mt. Fuji
occasionally has horrendous winds
Karlwin: Yeah, but even It’s snowing you can still visit Kinkakuji Temple at Kyoto, Japan. How’s the
overlooking pond over there, Richelle?
Richelle: I am so amazed with the Golden Pavillion, and it’s really covered with gold leaf well formally
known as Rokuonji. It is also one of the most famous Zen temples in the world. And if you’re planning to
go here, don’t forget your cameras. This is a shot you don’t want to miss.
Karlwin: I’m so glad you’re enjoying there! Have fun and we’re going to proceed to
Zian which is now located at the Tokyo Tower.
Zian: Yo I wish you guys could see how tall this structure is, I feel like I’m in Paris.
James: Actually, it is inspired by the Eiffel tower, and it was also visited by over 150 million people.
Nikki: Yeah, and It’s actually 3 meters taller than the Eiffel tower.
Richelle/Jc: Same
Nikki: Perfect! Cuz we’re going to talk about the different foods of Japan
Jc: ooooh we have sushi here, it’s a small roll of rice that is combined with raw fish, seaweed, cucumber
and vegetables.
Jc: You’re right, Cause sushi is typically not considered as a breakfast food, but it is often enjoyed as a
lunch or dinner
Nikki: hmm Takoyaki are not usually a meal in itself, but rather a snack eaten on the go.
James: oh, it’s like a ball-shaped Japanese snack made of a wheat flour
Nikki: Yeah and did you know that Tako means octopus and yaki indicates the cooking method.
Karlwin: I’m glad you asked, because what I am wearing right now is one of their traditional clothing
which is called ‘’Kimono’’.
Richelle: It is a wrapped front garment with square sleeves and a rectangular body.
James: When do you usually use this for?
Richelle: Nowadays, Japanese people rarely wear kimono in everyday life. They only wear it on some
occasions like wedding ceremonies, funerals, and university graduation ceremonies.
Zian: They are also worn for tea ceremonies and other special events, such as summer festivals and
Tanabata
Nikki: Yeah, It’s a Sumo match. It is a Japanese style of wrestling and Japan’s national sport.
Karlwin: Oh, I noticed that Japan has so many Japanese martial arts, and one of the examples too is
Taekwondo
Jc: While sumo is the object of which is to force one’s opponent to touch the ground with any part of his
body except the soles of his feet or to step out of the ring
Karlwin: It’s great that they know some martial arts, I would like to learn some too if I could.
James: yeah, and I enjoy exploring Japan. They have these different features that makes them a unique
and beautiful country
Jc: yeah, and you know what? I’d love to go back to everything that we saw and knew about Japan
Zian: hmm we can ask them a question and let them tell us again everything that we talked about
Nikki: And of course, to those 4 people who’ll be able to answer our questions correctly will receive a
price that I’m sure you guys will like
