Guidelines for Safe Lifting:

• Follow standard, procedures & Tier 1 Best Practice for Crane & Lifting.

• Calculate the Safe working load before lifting operation.

• Use inspected, color coded & designed Sling for the lifting.

• Use correct method of lifting e.g. number of slings, straps, clamps, etc.

• Ensure Crane Operator & Rigger are qualified/certified.

• Apply adequate supervision & barricade while lifting activities.

• Provide & use tag line to control the load.

• Always avoid being on line of fire e.g. don’t be underneath the load.

• Ensure required number of Rigger is provided.

• Use standard hand signals/flags for clear communications.

• Apply effective JSD, LPSA & LSA. STEP FOR SAFETY
