Look at these wonderful students!

We have completed two engaging
months of learning in Grade 4. The
students' curiosity and enthusiasm
have consistently impressed me. I
am eagerly looking forward to
witnessing their continued growth and
success in the classroom. The
Halloween activities that unfolded
yesterday were a wonderful way to
wrap-up our month!
Reminder about Agendas (Morning
Students): Students are kindly
reminded to fill out their agendas
daily. Parents, please ensure you also
initial the agendas. I highly
encourage all students to engage in
daily reading. This practice will
greatly enhance their writing skills and
boost their confidence in their abilities
across all areas of the curriculum..

Social Studies:
Analyze some of the general ways in which the
natural environment of regions in Canada has
affected the development of industry;
Continue to explore the various Canadian
Landforms;
Partake in the creation of their Landform
Minecraft Education activity

Physical Education:
Participate in moderate to vigorous physical
activity, with appropriate warm-up and cool-down
activities, to the best of their ability for a minimum
of twenty minutes each day;
Identify how different physical activities affect
the body and contribute to physical fitness and
good physical and mental health. Language:
Arts (Dance): Reading focus: Visualizing, Determining Important Ideas
Writing forms: Descriptive (light study)
Translate into dance a variety of movement Narrative (in-depth study),
sequences observed in nature; Procedural (light study)
Use dance as a language to explore and
communicate ideas derived from a variety of

literature sources. Read and represent whole numbers up to and including

Science:
Term 1 - Overview
In term one, students will explore the impacts of humans on
habitats and their communities and how to minimize these
impacts. They will also explore lights
and sounds in relation to innovations in our changing
world and their properties and characteristics.
