Many thanks to Amanda Reed, our Parent support adviser, Mrs Heasman and all her helpers, Mrs Cane, Mrs Fenton etc., who all helped to make Fridays cake sale in support of the MacMillan Coffee Afternoon a great success. The early birds enjoyed their coffee and cake in the cool peace and quiet of our new Breakfast and After School club room. As the bell went the sale of cakes moved to the car park where parents, children and staff flocked for a cake. They raised 135. So well done and many thanks to all the parents who kindly donated the cakes they were much appreciated and enjoyed by all!!
STOP PRESS We would like to welcome Mr Alf Utterridge to our school staff. He is our acting site manager for the next few months as Mr Kempster is having a hip replacement operation todayso we would like to send him all our best wishes too.

Thank you Governor News On Friday our Premise Committee held their first meeting of the year. This is chaired by Mr. Dave Allen. Besides having a premise report on the new infant extension, they also looked at planned improvements for the Foundation Stage outdoor environment and redecoration of the hall. They also received reports on the recent fire drill and the school lettings. At each meeting there is a regular review of any relevant policy. Afterwards they inspected the north building works for the junior department. Tudor Display If you visited our book club this week you would have noticed our lovely display on Henry VIII and his six wives. The work was produced by Year 4 and Mrs Hood kindly spent several evenings producing the wall display with Miss Carter and Miss Hope . We are all very impressed with the Tudor houses made with parents as a homework project. Thank you for your support too.
