We received a copy of a notice of appeal that was filed with the trial court
on March 31, 2023. The notice of appeal states the final judgment was signed on
February 28, 2023. It appears that the notice of appeal was filed late but within the
extension time permitted by Tex. R. App. P. 26.3.

The appellant may request an extension of time to file notice of appeal. Any
motion for extension of time to file notice of appeal must comply with Tex. R.
App. P. 10.5(b). If the motion for extension of time cannot be filed within 15 days
of the original due date for the notice of appeal, include a reasonable explanation
for the late filing of the motion.

Failure to establish timely filing of notice of appeal may result in dismissal

of the appeal for lack of jurisdiction.
