A cultural contextual study for the desi way of eating and lifestyle

SUMMARY OF THE BOOK
· Glucose, a vital molecule for energy, intensely influences our
physical and mental well-being.

· the importance of managing glucose levels to align overall


health. It explores the role of glucose, fructose, and insulin
curves, offering evidence-based insights.

· Plants convert elements into glucose through


photosynthesis, storing it as starch. Humans obtain glucose
from food, impacting energy balance.
· Glucose spikes, caused by sugary foods, have diverse effects
on health.

· Glucose spikes, free radicals, oxidative stress, glycation, and


inflammation, with long-term implications like cancer and
diabetes.

· Strategies to flatten glucose curves include mindful eating


order, green starters, sugar alternatives, vinegar intake,
exercise, and balanced snacks.
Problem Statement

India is a vast country with a very diverse culture in every


state. The book “Glucose Revolution” tackles the western
food habits and beliefs through various ways like CGS and
making readers aware of false marketing.

The idea of this project is to create a similar sense of


awareness for the Indian food context, specifically south
Indian food and debunk some of the myths and
misconceptions we have been practicing
