Celine Marie Claudette Dion opened her eyes in the house of Adhemar and Therese
Dion on March 30, 1968, in Charlemagne, Quebec, Canada. She was the youngest in
her 13 siblings, and her parents were had formed a musical group, Dion’s Family,
when she was still an infant. Her parents later decided to open a piano bar, where the
5 years old Celine would sing for the customers.

popular french singer Ginette Reno. He invited her to perform live in front of him.

have a complete control over her career until the deal expires.
Angelil was facing financial issues himself at that time. He had to mortgage his own
house to pay for the expenses of Celine’s debut album, La Voix du bon Dieu.

After her debut album, Celine Dion continued his journey in french music industry.
She was able to record nine French albums by the age of 18. All the albums proved to
be extremely successful and garnered her love from both critics and audience alike.
She won many Felix and Juno awards that are considered to be the Canadian
equivalent of a Grammy Award. In the year 1988, Celine rose to international fame
when she won the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin, Ireland and millions of people

Celine Dion. The album saw a splendid success as it became Celine’s first gold record
in the United States of America. More than 12 million copies of the album were sold

The international success of her 2nd album provided Celine with the opportunity
release her third album, “The Colour of My Love”. This album particularly included
several romantic songs and Celine became a household name throughput Europe and
the United States of America. Songs included in the album like “When I Fall in Love”
and “The Power of Love” remained in Top 10 charts of the Billboard Hot 100.

Celine Dion And the movie Titanic:


The year 1997 brought an unprecedented glory to Celine Dion. The blockbuster film,
“Titanic” was released for which celine sang the theme song, “My Heart Will Go
On”.
The film was able to grab a record number of Oscar nominations. The best song
award went to “My Heart Will Go On” and Celine Dion became an Oscar Award

Celine Dion married her manager and music producer Angelil who is 26 years older
than her. Celine and Angelil engaged in 1991 and were formally married at

grabbed the attention of international media. The wedding cermony was also
celebrated in many other parts of Canada.
Celine became a mother of baby boy on January 25, 2001. In the year 2010, she gave
birth to two twin boys at the age of 42.
