Safe Work Procedure for Cable Termination and Power Turn ON Power
 Ensure workers use the proper tools during work.
 All tools will be secured or in a tool box when using at height.
 Workers to wear safety harness and anchor safety harness to secure point at waist level or higher.
 All electrical equipments to be inspected by a certified LEW.
 Equipments and tools to be inspected for defects before use.
 Proper safety goggles / face shield to be worn during drilling work.
 Area of work will be barricaded.
 All A Frame ladders will be inspected for defects before use.
 Last 3 steps of ladder will not be used to stand on.
 When doing overhead works, materials will be handed to workers on ladder by workers on ground.
 No worker is to mount ladder while holding materials.
 If work height is more than 2 meters and a ladder is used, workers must use safety harness and anchor to a safe point or life line
 Ensure the cables are correct before start work.
 Ensure carpet is ready before start work.
 Wear electrical hand glove to do all the measurement work.
 Use proper tools to ensure the breaker is in off position and no supply.

 Use log out tag out to lock the breaker before start work.

 Ensure the gland plate at panel is safe to drill and drill the cable gland hole according to gland size.
 Ensure all the cable glands are proper tightening and use cable ties to tie all the cables.
 Ensure all the terminations are tightening and certified LEW to carried out the necessary checking before turn on work to be done.

 Housekeeping to be done prior to commencement of works and after completion of works.


 Unsafe work condition will stop work immediately.

Safe Work Procedures for Cable termination and Turn on.

1. Purpose
 To eliminate hazards during the process of cable termination and turn on.

2. Scope
 This safe work procedure is applicable to cable termination and turn on.

3. Responsibility
 Site Engineer / Site Supervisor, WSH Coordinator / Supervisor, Scaffold Erector, Scaffold Supervisor, Workers

4.Procedure for Safe Work Procedures for Cable Termination and Turn On.
 Permit-to-Work must be obtained by the Site Supervisor.
 Toolbox meeting to be conducted by site supervisor to inform workers of hazards of cable termination and turn on and to
adhere
 Only certified LEW is allowed to do the turn on.
 Check condition and update checklist of site condition before start work.
 Ensure working area is properly barricaded before commencement of works.
 Any accident or injury is to be reported to the site supervisor or safety personnel
immediately. All works will comply with the Method Statement, Safe Work Procedure
and Risk Assessment

Safe Work Procedure for Installation of bracket support and cable work
 Workers to wear safety harness and anchor safety harness to secure point at waist level or higher.
 All electrical equipment’s to be inspected by a certified LEW.
 Equipment’s and tools to be inspected for defects before use.
 Proper safety goggles / face shield to be worn during drilling works.
 All A Frame ladders will be inspected for defects before use.
 Last 3 steps of ladder will not be used to stand on.
 When doing overhead works, materials will be handed to workers on ladder by workers on ground.
 No worker is to mount ladder while holding materials.
 If work height is more than 2 meters and a ladder is used, workers must use safety harness and anchor to a safe point or life line.
 All scaffolds are to be erected by certified scaffold erectors.
 A Scaffold Supervisor is to inspect and certify Safe for Use every 7 days once.
 Workers are reminded to use scaffold only if the Safe for Use tag is displayed.
 Workers on scaffolds will wear Safety Harness and anchor to a safe point.
 Housekeeping to be done prior to commencement of works and after completion of works.
 Unsafe work condition will stop work immediately.
 Any accident or injury is to be reported to the site supervisor or safety personnel immediately.

 All works will comply with the Method Statement, Safe Work Procedure and Risk Assessment.

 Site Engineer / Site Supervisor, WSH Coordinator / Supervisor, Scaffold Erector, Scaffold Supervisor, Workers

4.Procedure for Safe Work Procedures for Installation of Bracket Support and Cable
Works
 Permit-to-Work must be obtained by the Site Supervisor.
 Toolbox meeting to be conducted by site supervisor to inform workers of hazards of cable works and bracket support
installation and to adhere to the safe work procedure.
 Risk Assessment briefing to workers to be done by Site Supervisor.
 All workers to check their PPE required before start of work.
 Ensure working area is properly barricaded before commencement of works.
 Ensure workers use the proper tools during work.
 All tools will be secured or in a tool box, when using at height
