Conditional Sentence
The modal will, would, can, and could often appear in conditional sentence. Usually conditional
sentence contain the word if. There are two types of conditionals: the real (factual and habitual) and
the unreal (contrary to fact or hypothetical). The real, or “future possible” as it is sometimes called,
is used when the speaker expresses an action or situation which usually occurs, or will occur if the
circumstances in the main clause are met.
Type 0
Conditional Sentence Type 0 or Zero conditional is a Conditional Sentence that is used to
make a conditional sentence that always occurs.
If + simple present, simple present
Example: if you mix yellow and blue, you get green.
Type 1
Conditional sentence type 1, or future conditional to express that something can probably
happen in the future.
If + simple present, simple future
Example : if I have much money, I will buy your house.
Type 2
Conditional sentence Type 2 or present conditional is a conditional that cannot happen now.
