I.ADMISSION INFORMATION

1. GENERAL
1. Integrated Double Degree Masters Program (IDDMP ) is designedfor the advantage of the student
community through which students can acquire both B. Tech. & M. Tech degrees from JNTUH and M.S degree
from Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH), Sweden in five years. The special arrangement increases the face
value of the degree and makes it free from local recognition hurdles which students usually face at the time of
employment or Ph.D. Studies in India after pursuing studies in foreign universities. Hence the students can
promote with a domicile degree from JNTUH in India. The students can promote in Europe with a degree from
BTH. This program prepares the studentsto compete in the labor market in a better way both in India and
abroad.

2. Applications for admission into Integrated B. Tech & M. Tech/ M. S – Computer Science / Software
Engineering/ Artificial Intelligence & Machine learning / Machine learning, Sensors&Systemsunder IDDMP will
be processed by JNT University, Hyderabad in association with Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden.
3. There will be no provision for students to discontinue their studies in the middle of the program and claim
an alternative degree.
4. All Admissions are purely provisional, and the University reserves the right to cancel the admission at any
stage.
Note:Programme will be offered only when the number of candidates taking admission is more than 50% of
the total intake in each specialization.

2.. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible for admission for the IDDMP-2023-24:

1. Candidates with Intermediate Education (10+2patterns) conducted by the T.S./A.P Board of

Intermediate Education (BIE)/CBSE/ICSE with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry subjects with a
minimum of First class.
2. Candidates should be of Indian Nationality/Persons of Indian Origin (POI)/Overseas Citizens of India
(OCI) card holders.
3. The candidates should have completed 16 years of age by the date of commencement of admissions
or on such other date as may be notified by the entrance test committee. There is no upper age limit.

3. STRUCTURE OF INTEGATED DOUBLE DEGREE MASTERS PROGRAM

Thedurationof IDDMP is 5 years (10 Semesters) and thestudentsadmittedhavetoundergothefirst 3 ½ years
(Sevensemesters) ofmandatoryeducation at JNTUH, Hyderabad and, after obtainingtherequiredeligibility,
theremaining 1½ years (Threesemesters) ofmandatoryeducation at BTH, Sweden.

BTH Merit Scholarships:

Further, all the IDDMP Students are eligible to apply for BTHMerit Scholarship (Tuition fee
waivers)programme for a tuition fee waiver on existing tuition feesfor the international free movers.The
selection of BTH scholarship awardees will be done as per the merit of academic excellence among all the
international students. The results of scholarships will be declared in the month of July (around the
commencement of 4 – I st semester at JNTUH). The scholarships are offered subject to availability.

A refund of the fee will not be entertained once admission is made. Fee shall be paid at the beginning of each
academic year at JNTUH and semester-wise at BTH. There is no concession of fee at JNTUH or
stipend/scholarship during their study period at JNTUH.

English Criteria: BTH proposes to adopt the English requirement aligning with the national admission
requirement of Sweden. As per the national admission requirement, the students can meet the English
requirement with upper secondary studies with grades issued by the Telangana state board of Intermediate or
equivalent with English as the medium of instruction.

Note: The students, who have studied in other languages (medium of instruction other than English) during
intermediate education, then the student should demonstrate to meet the English language requirement
through an internationally approved English test such as IELTS or TOEFL iBT.
The students should meet the English requirement either by IELTS or TOEFL iBT before seeking admission to
studies at BTH.
IELTS: an overall mark of 6.5 and no section below 5.5
TOEFL iBT: Score of 20 (scale 0-30) in written test, total score of 90

5. VISA REQUIREMENTS&ACCOMMODATION:

The students should be able to fund their travel & living expenses for their stay at Sweden. Students should be
able to show a minimum financial requirement of SEK 9450(Sweden Kronas) per month for the entire planned
study period in Sweden. Documentation certifying one’s own must be provided at the time for applying visa as
per the requirements of the Migration Board.

For 18 Months stay in Sweden, the students should show a minimum financial requirement of SEK 170 100
Approx. INR 13.7 Lakhs (As per the present currency exchange rate*) before Swedish Migration Board while
applying for VISA (Student Residence Permit). For further details check www.migrationsverket.se

No hostel accommodation will be provided at JNTUH.The average accommodation cost will be around 54000
SEK/Annum during the study period at BTH, Sweden.

NOTE: -Students are responsible to show the required financial proof to the migration authorities
whileapplying for a student permit (VISA). Either BTH or JNTUH will not be responsible for the visa rejections
caused on the grounds of insufficient financial funds/statements in front of the Migration Board.The
Migration Board is an independent agency, and where BTH or JNTUH cannot influence the decision.

6. INSURANCE:The students are fully protected by comprehensiveinsurance provided by BTH.

Theinsuranceprovides 24-hour coverage in Sweden. The insurance covers, Medical and Dental Care, Home
transport cover, personalLiability Cover, Legal expenses, etc. The insurance (FAS) is provided by

7. AFTER STUDIES IN SWEDEN:

The successfully completed students are eligible to extend their residence permit for one yearto seek
employment or examine the possibilities of starting their own business as per the regulations of the migration

involvement of JNTUH and BTH.

8.PLACEMENTS/ CAREER AFTER PROGRAMME

The successfully completed IDDMP students are eligible for campus placements at JNTUH as per JNTUH norms.
Employment in Sweden:Most of the students succeeded in securing employment in leading companies in
Sweden, such as Ericsson, Volvo, Scania, Sigma, Axis,etc. The minimum salary level for entry-level engineers is
around 35000 SEK / Month (Approx.2.8 Lakhs/ month). Some of them are also able to get recruited to the
prestigious programme, Ericsson Global Talent, and Volvo Graduate Engineers programme.(List of some of the

8. HOW TO APPLY
Candidates are required to apply online application and download the Information booklet from the website
www.jntuh.ac.in/https://doa.jntuh.ac.in/. The duly filled-in application form with one set of enclosures and
a registration fee of Rs.2,000/- must be submitted online.

Applications received after the last date of submission including with a fine will not be accepted. The office of
the Directorate of Admissions is not responsible for the non-receipt or late receipt of applications sent by Post
/ Courier. Incomplete applications are liable to be summarily rejected.

10. SELECTION CRITERIA

The selection will be based on ranks obtained in JEE (Mains) -2023 /TS EAMCET-23 in the order of preference
indicated.

30% of seats will be allotted based on the JEE (Mains)-2023 Rank and the other 70% of seats based on
TS-EAMCET-2023Rank.

11. ENCLOSURES
List of documents to be attached with the Application forms:
 Attested copy of Secondary Education (10th Class) certificate.
 Attested copy of Higher Secondary Education (10+2 Class pattern) certificate.
 Attested copy of Rank Card of JEE (Mains) -2023 /TS EAMCET-2023 etc.
 Undertaking statement signed by the parent / guardian along with the applicant, stating that the
applicant is capable to fund the financial requirement (SEK 170100 SEK (Approx. 13.7Lakhs ) for 3
semesters) in order to pursue education in Sweden. (To be produced at the time of admission)
