ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE

MULTIPLE ASSESSMENT ACTIVITIES 2022

INSTRUCTIONS
• Students must take up ANY ONE of the Four suggested activities given below.
• Students must go through the activities thoroughly along with the criteria
requirement before selecting the activity of their choice.
• Students are expected to carry out the chosen activity only in A-4 sized sheets [or A3
as specified in each activity]
• They should cover a Minimum of 5 Units in any activity that they choose.
• Physical copies of all activities must be submitted.
• The Multiple Assessment activities will be assessed primarily for 20 marks/activity,
which will be reduced to an average in terms of the total Internal Assessment marks
for each term.

ACTIVITY 1
5X5 JOURNAL

• Students are required to write about any 5 interesting or fascinating aspects of the
English classes that they have enjoyed/liked the most.
• They also need to write about any 5 specific attributes (linguistic or theme integrated),
that resonated strongly in them, with respect to the prose/poems learnt

ACTIVITY 2
DARING DOODLES
• Doodles are simple drawings that can have concrete representation of one’s
understanding.
• Students can doodle to give their insights based on the lessons and poems that they
have learnt in the class. [AVOID COPYING PICTURES FROM THE LESSON]
• A3 or A4 size sheets can be used.
CRITERIA: Creativity, Organisation, Content, Visual Impact

ACTIVITY 3
COOL COLLAGES
• Students are required to select any 5 lessons/poems and create a collage of
their learning of the lessons.
• A3 or A4 size sheets may be used.
• Pictures from the lessons should not be taken for the activity.
• The collage can be a mix of words/phrases/pictures that give a clarity on the
themes of the selected lessons.
• On the other side of the sheet, students should write a short paragraph on the
reason why those particular lessons were selected.

CRITERIA: Creativity, Organisation, Content, Visual Impact

ACTIVITY 4
MIGHTY MONOLOGUES
• This is a Speaking activity similar to Mono acting.
• Students are required to select any 5 characters from a lesson each and weave an
interesting story with those characters coming in the story as themselves and
bringing to light what they want to convey.
• Time limit: 3 – 5 mins

• The physical copy of the story/script should be submitted to the teacher
beforehand.
• The presentation will be conducted in the class.

CRITERIA: Creativity, Fluency, Voice modulation, Presentation

Class 8 and 9 : 14 November, 2022

Class 10: 28 November, 2022
