III. PROCEDURE
Teacher’s Activity Students’ Activity
A. Preparation
1. Routines

a. Prayer
Before we start, let us have a prayer first.
__________, please lead the prayer.
In the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, Amen!
Dear Father God, come be with us today, fill our hearts with
joy, fill our minds with learning, fill our classrooms with

your name.
(Students will say present if their name is called)
d. Passing of Assignment
Bring out your assignment and pass it forward at the count
of 5.
(Students will pass their assignment)

2. Review

What was our topic last meeting?

(Students raises their hands)
Yes, ___________.
Our last topic is all about subsets of a line Ma’am/Sir.
Correct!
As a sort of review, what are the subset of a line?
Anyone from the class?
(Students raises their hands)
Yes, _______________.
The subset of a line are ray and line segment.
Very Good. Now, any questions or clarifications?
None Ma’am/Sir.

3. Motivation

I think that all of you understand the previous lesson. At this

juncture, let’s proceed to our next lesson but before that, let’s have
an activity first.

Our activity is called “Human Clock”.

I will group you into four. Each group will choose a representative
to execute the time that I will give using their hand to be the arm of
the analog clock. Also, other group will guess what kind of angle
they are presenting and the first group that can guess the correct
answer will gain a points.

(The teacher will assign what group are they)

(The students will form a circle)
So, Let’s start our activity.
Group 1: Form your hand into 3:35
(Representative from group 1 will execute it on the front)
(Other group will give the correct answer which is reflex
angle)
Good job, Group ________. Your group got 5 points.

Next.

Group 2: Form your hand into 9:30

(Representative from group 2 will execute it on the front)
(Other group will give the correct answer which is right
angle)
Correct, Group ________. Your group got ____ points.

Next.

Group 3: Form your hand into 3:10

(Representative from group 3 will execute it on the front)
(Other group will give the correct answer which is acute
angle)
Very Good, Group _______. Your group got ____ points.

Next.

Group 4: Form your hand into 9:15

(Representative from group 4 will execute it on the front)
(Other group will give the correct answer which is straight
angle)
Correct, Group _____. Your group got _____ points.

4. Presentation of Topic and Objective/s

Base on our activity, do you have any idea what will be our lesson
for this morning?
(Few students will raise their hand)
Yes, Mr./Ms. _______________.
I think our lesson for today is all about different kinds of
angles.
That’s correct.

Our new topic is all about the different kinds of angles, but before
that, let me first introduce to you our objectives this morning. Our
objectives are:
At the end of the 60- minute period, the learners will be able to:
1. Identify the different kinds of angles;
2. Appreciate the importance of angles; and
3. Draw the different kinds of angles.

B. Lesson Proper
1. Presentation of the Lesson

Do you have any idea what is an angle?

Anyone from the class?
(Students raises their hands)
Yes Mr./Ms. ______________.
An angle is formed when two straight lines or rays meet at a
common endpoint.
That’s correct.

When we say angle it is formed when two straight lines or rays

meet at common endpoint and the common endpoint is called
vertex of an angle.

So, the word angle comes from a Latin word named ‘angulus’
which means “corner”.

The symbol ∠ represents an angle.

Do you know what tool are you going to use in measuring the
angles in degrees?
(Students raises their hands)
Yes Mr./Ms. _____________.
Protractor Ma’am/Sir.
Very Good.

In measuring an angle in degrees, we need to use a protractor.

For example, 45 degrees is represented as 45°

Let’s proceed to the types of angles.

Here are the different types of angles:

An acute angle measures less than 90° at the vertex.

An obtuse angle is between 90° and 180°.

A right angle precisely measures 90° at the vertex.

An angle measuring exactly 180° is a straight angle.

A reflex angle measures between 180°- 360°.

A complete angle measure equals 360°.

That is the 6 kinds of angles.

Did you understand class?

Any questions or clarification?

Can anyone in the class enumerate the different kinds of angles? None Ma’am/Sir.

Yes Ms./Mr. ____________. (Student raises their hand)

The different kinds of angles are acute, obtuse, straight,

Very Good. right, reflex and complete angle.

2. Practice/ Drills

Since you already understand the lesson, we will have an activity to

measure your understanding.

I will show you a picture of an angle, determine what kind of angle

is being shown and find the other measurement of an angle to form
it a straight angle.

Just raise your hand if you want to answer, okay?

1.

Yes Mr./Ms. ____________

Obtuse angle, 87 degree Ma’am/Sir.

Correct, Next.

2.

Yes Mr./Ms. ____________

Correct, Next. Acute angle, 135 degree Ma’am/Sir.

3.

Yes Mr./Ms. ____________

Correct, Next. Obtuse angle, 23 degree Ma’am/Sir.

4.

Yes Mr./Ms. ____________

Correct, Next. Acute angle, 173 degree Ma’am/Sir.

5.

Yes Mr./Ms. ____________

Right angle, 90 degree Ma’am/Sir.

Very Good Class!

3. Application

Now, go to your respective groups and collaborate. I want you to

find 3 things that has an angle on it, draw it on a clean sheet of
paper and identify what angle it represents. After 5 minutes, you
will select one representative to share your answers in class.

Do you understand it class?

Yes Ma’am/Sir.
Any questions or clarifications?
None Ma’am/Sir.
You may start now.

(After 5 minutes)

Are you done class?

Yes Ma’am/Sir.
Let’s start with Group 1, followed by Group 2, 3 and 4.

(Group 1 to 4 will present their work)

Good job Everyone!

Let’s have another activity.

C. Generalization

Be ready because I will call names randomly.

It is formed when two straight lines or rays meet at common

endpoint.

____________, what is the answer?

Angle Ma’am/Sir.
Correct!

What angle measure equals 360°?

____________, what is the answer?

Complete Angle Ma’am/Sir.
Correct!

It is a Latin word which means “corner”.

____________, what is the answer?
Angulus Ma’am/Sir.
Correct!

It is an angle measuring exactly 180°.

____________, what is the answer?

Straight Angle Ma’am/Sir.
Correct!

What tool should be used in measuring the angles in degree?

____________, what is the answer?

Protractor Ma’am/Sir.
Correct!

Very Good Class!

Do you have any questions and clarifications about the lesson?

None Ma’am/Sir.
I think you already understand our lesson.

IV. EVALUATION

Get ½ crosswise. Write the correct answer.

Test I. Direction: Write the letter of the correct answer.

1. Which figure measures exactly 90°?

A. B. C.

2. Which figure measures more than 90° and less than 180°?

A. B. C.

3. Which figure measures between 0°-90°?

A. B. C.

Test II. State the type of angle (acute, right, obtuse or reflex) for the following degree.
a) 45° ___________________
b) 220° ____________________
c) 6° ___________________
d) 105° ___________________
e) 185° __________________
f) 90° __________________
g) 350° ________________
h) 170° _________________

(After several minutes)

Are you done? If yes, please pass your answer quietly since others are still answering.
(After all the students passed their papers)

V. ASSIGNMENT

For your assignment, I want you to take a photo of the things that you can see inside your house that has an angle on it. Print it on a
A4 size coupon bond. Also, write which kind of angle it represents. Pass it next meeting.

And that’s all for our lesson this morning.

Goodbye class, see you next meeting.
