Living in the new millennium is very exciting as electronics are going to change our home the way it already has
done for the office and the factory. We now have devices like highly sophisticated television sets and recording
equipment, fax machines, laptops and digital cameras.

First and foremost, home electronics will alter the way we entertain ourselves at home. Some homes have large
screen televisions. Soon, we may also have three-dimensional images that could fill a wall screen.

Home electronics will not be restricted to entertainment only. We now do not even have to leave our homes to carry
out much of our daily business. For example, by pressing a button, we may be able to shop for something that we
like, then select and place an order. Then, the amount will be deducted automatically from our bank account.

In addition, future homes will also be fixed with computerised electronic devices. All the entertainment equipment,
electrical appliances, communication equipment and security will be controlled by a box no bigger than a palm top.
