TRIBUTE BY SIBLINGS

God looked around His garden and found an empty place; He then looked down the earth and saw
your tired face; He put His arms around you and lifted you to rest. With the help of His angels, they flew
you to your heavenly place.
God’s garden must be beautiful; He always takes the best. He knew that you were suffering. He
knew that you were in pain. He saw the road was getting rough and hills hard to climb.
He closed your weary eyelids and whispered “Peace be thine”. It broke our hearts to lose you but
you didn’t go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you.
Ophelia, day by day, we think of you. How can all of these be true. We can’t believe that you are
really gone.
Your departure was sudden and left no time for goodbyes. We are saddened and traumatized yet
we carry on in the knowledge that your remaining siblings will keep your memory alive. We are
mourning the thought of never seeing you again, of never hearing your voice again. It seems that in life,
there are certain times which are more than “Simply unfair” when our hearts search out for better answers
but cannot seem to find them. Such is the case of your passing.
Afia Mensah, oh how we wish our gathering here today is to celebrate you and not a time to
mourn. Sister, you have left a big vacuum in our lives that will be difficult to be filled and a pain in our
hearts that time cannot easily erase.
Mrs. Ophelia Ofori, the Almighty God knows why you departed suddenly. You have kept the
faith, you have fought the good fight

Afia, Da Yie
