The members of APWA took a day trip to Namur, Belgium where they visited several locations. They were welcomed by the Governor of Namur at the Provincial Palace who gave them a history of the building. The Governor then arranged a visit to the Rops Museum to see the works of artist Felicien Rops. After lunch and an APWA meeting, members toured the Citadel of Namur and descended via a cable car, enjoying the views. They returned to Brussels by 3:45pm.

The members assembled at Avenue de Gaulois 35 at 9:00 am and left
for Namur. 2. At 9:45 reached Namur’s Provincial Palace where everyone was welcomed by The Governor of the Province of Namur, Mr. Denis Mathen. 3. The President APWA presented a bouquet to Governor and thanked him for giving his valuable time and for his warm hospitality. 4. The Governor, Namur welcomed all and gave a brief history of the provincial palace and urged all to visit Namur and explore the city has to offer. 5. The members had tea, coffee and cookies at the palace along with some candid photo moments. 6. The Governor had arranged the visit to Rops Museum for all the members and before moving to the museum, he presented all the members with a sweet gift. 7. All the members visited Rops Museum from 11:15 to 12:00pm and enjoyed the beautiful drawings, paintings, sketches, letters of Felicien Rops, a fin-de-siècle Belgian artist. 8. Then all the members proceeded to Asia Restaurant for lunch and APWA October proceedings. 9. The Secretary APWA updated the members with meeting’s agenda. Firstly, she requested everyone to follow time discipline. Then she updated that the charity proposals would be finalised in the meeting scheduled to be held on October 12 at ACP. 10. The President APWA updated the members about the upcoming plans. She informed that there will be a visit to European Parliament on October 26 and an election meeting on Now 17 at Mauritius house. She also informed that the visit to Antwerp Diamond Museum has been fixed for January 2024. 11. The Treasurer APWA requested all the members to clear the outstanding fees for the period Nov 22-Nov 23. The new members were also requested to fill up the form and pay the required fees. 12. The Treasurer APWA raised the issue of Bazar and discussed the various time options available and convenient to all the members for holding the same. 13. Everyone enjoyed the delicious lunch with warm verbal exchanges. 14. Then the members proceeded towards the Citadel of Namur. Everything enjoyed the mesmerising view from the top, clicked lots of pictures and then headed towards the Cable Car. All the members were thrilled and enjoyed the cable car ride while descending the citadel. 15. At 3:00pm, we started the return journey and reached Brussels back by 3:45pm.
