 ABOUT NYCU

National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University was founded on February 1,

2021, through the merger of two top research universities - National Yang
Ming University and National Chiao Tung University. The new university's
motto, "Embrace innovation, pursue excellence, seek truth, and practice
benevolence" (「知新致遠、崇實篤行、真知力行、仁心仁術」) is derived
from the two original school mottos. National Yang Ming Chiao Tung
University inherits the strong advantages in fields such as electrical
engineering, information and communication technology, biomedical
sciences, science, and engineering from the original schools. After the
merger, the University combines the expertise of both schools to further
develop key areas such as healthcare and artificial intelligence,
semiconductors, and other fields, with the goal of becoming a top global
university.
 ABOUT COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING
The College of Engineering is composed of the Department
(Institute) of Mechanical Engineering, the Department (Institute) of
Civil Engineering, the Department (Institute) of Materials Science
and Engineering, the Institute of Environmental Engineering,
Graduate Degree Program of Robotics, and the newly established
Institute of Space Systems Engineering.
Located near national laboratories and the Hsinchu Science
Park, we provide students opportunities to collaborate with the top
technology companies and participate in leading technology
experiments.
