8th Huawei ICT Competition


Introduction
HUAWEI ICT COMPETITION 2023-24

An international competition and exchange platform


The Huawei ICT Competition is intended for students in Huawei ICT academies and those in
higher education institutions that are willing to join the ICT Academy worldwide. Through this
competition, Huawei aims to provide students with a platform to compete healthily and exchange
ideas, thus enhancing their ICT knowledge and practical skills as well as increasing their ability to
innovate by using new technologies and platforms.
Since the first edition in 2015, the Huawei ICT Competition's influence has only kept growing. The
Huawei ICT Competition attracted 150,000 students from over 2,000 universities and colleges
across 85 countries and regions.
Registration & Schedule
Invited participants :
• Preferably students from Colleges and Universities which has an established Huawei ICT Academy.
• Students must be currently enrolled in the university/ college they want to represent.
• Students who are eligible to participate in this Huawei ICT competition are undergraduate students.

For Cloud, Network, and Computing Track
• 1st week October Email invites will be sent to all active Huawei ICT academy students, instructors, and administrator. Registration
link will become live
• Friday, Oct 20 1:00PM – Registration will close
• Wednesday Oct 25 1 10:00-11:30AM – Qualifying Round-Theoretical online written exam
- individual score of each team member will be added together to comprise the team’s score
- HQ will provide test questions
• Friday, Oct 27 Announcement of top 5 teams which will qualify for the finals round
- individual score of each team member will be added together to comprise the team’s score
- HQ will provide test questions
• Friday, Nov 10, 09:00AM- National Finals Round- Laboratory Exam
• Announcement of winners will be during National Finals Round. Dates TBA

ICT Competition Rules
• Students participating in the National - Global finals must be from the same Huawei ICT Academy to form a 3 student-team. No changes in team
membership will be allowed unless under extreme cases only.
• All participants must register as a Huawei ICT academy student (Register (huawei.com) ), if not yet registered.
• Team coach must be a member of the faculty of the school the team is representing.
• Students who are eligible to participate in this Huawei ICT competition (Cloud, Network, and Computing Track) are only undergraduate students who
are currently enrolled in the university/college they will represent. For Innovation track, undergraduate – post graduates students are welcome.
• Individual scores will be combined as the team’s total score.
• Students can only participate in one track. Once the track is selected, no changes are allowed.
• A coach can only support 1 team at the National finals round (Laboratory Exam part).
• Students who have participated in a previous Huawei ICT Global Finals are not allowed to participate again.
• A university can register multiple teams per track and compete at the qualifying round, but only the team with the highest score per university can
qualify to the National Finals Round- Laboratory Exam.
• Students who will win the national competition will have intensive training and a technical test competition to prepare them for the regional and
international levels.
• 1st prize winners from each track in the national competition will represent the Philippines to the regional competition.
• Global finals will be a team competitions as well. Only team competition-related questions are supported.
