 Prepare an essay in response to the question: What is the most important

contribution of the modern conceptions of education in the historical

foundations of education to our present Philippine Educational System?

“K-12’s Achievements”
There have been a ton of changes in our country’s
educational system but there is this law that deserves to be
highlighted because many are still ambiguous about its
effects and contributions cause in the common eye it’s just
unnecessary to add more years as a student, introducing
the Republic Act 10533 or the Enhanced Basic Education
Act of 2012 most commonly known as K-12 Education,
this law adds 2 more Grade levels (Grade 11 and Grade
12) Senior High School in this 2 new years the student can
pick one of the strands available and aligned to the course
you will pursue in College these strands are General
Academic Strand (GAS), Humanities and Social Science
(HUMSS), Accountancy, and Business Management
(ABM), Science, Technology, Engineering, and
Mathematics (STEM), and Technical-Vocational-
Livelihood Strand (TVL).

The main goal of this Republic Act is to not only elevate

the Philippine Basic education system by making the
curriculum stronger but also to improve the student’s
Academic skills and to help students carefully choose
what course they want to take in college by giving them
more time to know and study what they really want, the
K-12 education also helps students to master the two basic
skills that are crucial in higher education and the job
market which are Reading and Writing, one of the strong
effects of this curriculum is that it enhances the student’s
knowledge and skills in the crucial subjects such as
Language, Social Science, Mathematics, and Science, but
one of the best contributions of this is that students can
develop certain unique skills or improve the skills they
already have because each of these strands is aligned and
connected not only to the course they want to take but also
to their interests and talents that each student possess.

K-12 education has contributed a lot of vital things that

the students need to learn and attain to be more than
prepared for College and eventually their jobs and proved
and seen many times that it achieved its main goals for the
education in our country and the betterment of its
students, in short words this has basically resulted for the
students to be “better”.
