that you have answered earlier and tell us
their uses or functions. I will give you 15
mins. to prepare.”
15 mins.

“Time’s Up. Are you now ready for your Group 1 - Cutting Tools

lesson?”

Call 2 students to summarize the topic.

“Very good! Thank you.”

“Is everything clear class?” “Yes ma’am.”

“Do you have questions?” “None ma’am.”

V. EVALUATION
Please get 1/4 sheet of paper for our short quiz. And answer the following questions.

1. These are the simplest tools since they are used with your bare hands in performing farm
operation and practices in a small farm or vegetable garden in the backyard or in school.
2. These are accessories which are pulled by working animals or mounted and which are usually
used in the preparation of land. These are usually made of a special kind of metal.
3. What hand tool that has a curved blade attached to a short handle which is used for harvesting
grains or cutting grasses?
4. A hand-propelled vehicle used for hauling trash, manure, fertilizers, planting materials and
other equipment.
5. It is a machine which is used in harvesting grain crops. It is the combination of harvesting
reaping, threshing, and winnowing. It is one of the most economically important labor-saving
inventions, enabling a small fraction of the population to be engaged in agriculture.

6-15. Give 5 classifications of farm tools and equipment and give 1 example each.
16-20. Why do we need to know the uses of the different tools and equipment before using it?

“Ok Class pass your paper in front.”

Answer Key:
1. Hand Tools
2. Farm Implements
3. Sickle/scythe
4. Wheelbarrow
5. Combined Harvester

16-20. We need to know the uses of the different tools and equipment before using it so that these
tools and equipment will make its life span longer. Knowing the uses helps us perform the tasks
easily. If we do not use it correctly, it will easily break or damage and will not function well. It can
cause accidents as well

VI. ASSIGNMENT
