I am Yashpal Sharma Dy. Director Corporate Relations at
Sushant University Gurugram, I will take you through the
training & placement cell activities, the basic information
and procedure how we support in Sushant University to
students in terms of getting training & placements.

Career planning
Firstly, we use to support in terms of career planning, not
only in corporate sectors, but any student who want to
peruse his or her career in government and public sectors
jobs as well. we do conduct activities to brief about the
planning and how to go ahead in your career
Skills development & training
Whatever the skills need or current skills required in the
market we do provide training for the same.
Industry institute interaction
From time to time we organize couple of industry institute
interactions by inviting top corporate personnel for
leadership talk series, seminars, webinars and HR
conclaves.
Industry expert lectures
We do call experts from different industries and conduct
expert lectures for the students on new trends and
upcoming market technology trends as well.
Internship & industrial training support
We do support in terms of getting internships or industrial
projects within the industry or any other reputed
government and non-government organizations.
Campus placements
Of course we do support in campus placements process,
we do conduct campus placements here on campus and
we do also support in off campus jobs as well.
Alumni connect activities
We conduct alumni sessions or alumni connect activities
from time to time. Our alumni are placed at very top
positions in very big organizations, we do connect with
our alumni and their organizations for the benefits of the
students and university.

We frequently organize industrial visits of students for
making them aware about industries culture &
environment, real market scenario, latest technology
trends and future employment opportunities.

Resume Writing & Profile Building
To showcase your knowledge, your skills, experience,
expertise, and accomplishments, it is necessary to have a
perfectly written resume which can portray you as.
The resume acts as a bridge between you and the
prospective recruiter. Hence the importance of a resume
can never be underestimated. So, to make the first
impression, it is imperative that your resume stands out
from the crowd first.
So, with the help of our training team we conduct resume
writing workshops for the students, how to write effective
resumes, what should be the format and how to showcase
your skill sets.
We also help students in their profile building, during
your degree programs we provide plenty of trainings,
internships and global certification through which
students can enhance their technical skills and can build
the profile for professional world.
Written test (Technical & Aptitude)
A domain technical test, also known as a domain
knowledge test, involves evaluating domain-specific
knowledge of an industry. It enables HR professionals to
understand whether job candidates are suitable for the
given position. Sometimes, recruiters lack the relevant
industry-specific knowledge required to test and screen
candidates. That is where domain assessments come in
handy to help recruiters determine whether an applicant is
a right fit for the role.
With the help of our internal technical training team we
train the students on domain technical tests and also help
them by providing sample tests for preparations.
Aptitude tests also called “cognitive ability” tests.
Aptitude tests measure how well someone is likely to
perform in an area where they have no prior training.
They measure the potential to learn a skill or an affinity
for broader disciplines like numerical reasoning or
mechanics. We train the students on aptitude skills as
well.
Group Discussion Sessions & Techniques
Group discussion (GD) is a comprehensive technique to
judge the suitability of an individual and his
appropriateness for jobs. GD assesses the overall
personality – thoughts, feelings and behavior - of an
individual in a group. A topic is presented to the group
members for discussion.
We provide GD demo’s for boosting their confidence of
students, how GD’s are conducted, what are the general
etiquettes and techniques for participating in GD’s we
train the students for the same.
Personal Interviews (P.I.)
The Personal Interview (PI) round is the test of your
verbal communication skill, presence of mind and how do
you present your views and knowledge skillfully to
convince the experts who are interviewing you.
We train the students on personal interview rounds, what
are the FAQ’s (frequently asked questions in P.I.) what
should be the dressing sense, what are the general
etiquettes for PI and how to crack the personal interview
round.

So firstly I would like to tell you what employers demand,
employers mean the hiring managers or job providers.
What they do expect from the students when they come to
hire in or when any employer provides any job
opportunities to any fresher’s after graduation.
Firstly, all the students learn technical skills, there
subject’s/domain knowledge throughout the degree
duration apart from it all the companies expect soft skills
part as well. Soft skills part comprises of your
communication skills, English communication, apart from
the student’s confidence, learning attitude, learning skills
and other personality traits.
So apart from technical skills they do checks soft skills
parts as well and this is the first criteria in any selection
process wherever you go for job opportunities.
Focus required on projects & practical knowledge
Employers always focus on technical knowledge of the
students whatever the practical projects you will do or
perform in an industry or in university campus you should
have a good practical knowledge on the same.
Basic technical domain knowledge of the subject and
clarity on the same
You should basis technical knowledge of the subject and
clarity on the same. Definitely you will learn lot of
theories in books but all these theories were getting
applied in practical in terms you should know. You
should know the application of any subject or any content
which you are learning or reading during your degree.
Knowledge on branch related software
Knowledge on branch related software’s today’s world is
getting atomization and everything is getting digitization,
so definitely software knowledge in your branch or in
your field is required.
New technology awareness
Technologies are changing day by day and world is
changing day by day new technologies are coming up and
older technologies are getting down. So, you should be
aware about latest technology trends and upcoming
technologies in the market as well.
Exposure of industry
You will get the exposure of industry and working culture
of an organization whenever you will go for any
internship program during your degree. Industry exposure
is must for understanding technical know-how.
Computer savvy / it skills
Computer skills of course as I told you it’s a world of
digitization, so basic computer knowledge is mandatory
or further you should be tech savvy if you are performing
any job in an organization.
So, all these things an employer’s demand or any
candidates is up to the mark in all these skill sets and if
they are fulfilling all these demand then it is a good sign
for the students to get a job offers in any company.
So, to overcome or fulfill the employers demand training
and placement cell focuses on students training and their
overall development as well.
So, we do conduct different-different development
activities, we do conduct trainings, workshops regarding
as these aspects.
