NOTICE

All the students are hereby informed that in order to improve student’s presence in the classes, the existing
attendance policy has been discontinued from odd semester 2023. A new attendance policy will come into
force from this semester onwards.

To ensure that students are maintaining the requisite attendance criteria it has been decided to impose slot
wise penalties. All the students are hereby advised to go through the policy summary and maintain the
required attendance.

Minimum Attendance Requirement: Students are required to maintain a minimum attendance of 75% in
order to be eligible to appear for all examinations.

1. Penalty for Non-Compliance: If a student fails to meet the mandatory attendance requirement,
slot wise penalties will be imposed based on the percentage of attendance that falls below the
required 75%. The penalties are as follows:
• 70 to 74.99% attendance: ₹500 penalty
• 65 to 69.99% attendance: ₹1000 penalty
• 60 to 64.99% attendance: ₹1500 penalty
• 55 to 59.99% attendance: ₹2000 penalty
• 50 to 54.99% attendance: ₹2500 penalty
• Less than 50% attendance: ₹3000 penalty

Penalty Waiver: We understand that maintaining attendance can be challenging, and our primary goal is
to support your academic progress. Therefore, we have implemented a penalty waiver system. If a student
recovers their attendance percentage in the following slots, penalties will be waived:

No Penalty for more than 75% Attendance: If a student achieves 75% or more attendance by the end of the
semester, no penalties will be imposed.

It's essential for students to adhere to the new attendance policy to avoid penalties and ensure their eligibility
for examinations. Students should monitor their attendance regularly to meet the required percentage.
