NEWS PRESENTER 1 (HYLLA): Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) is preparing to


accommodate around 50,000 passengers starting October 27 for Kalag-Kalag and
Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections. Terminal managers have
implemented measures to ensure orderly and safe transportation. The terminal has
opened a new ticketing counter for mini-buses, van-for-hires (v-hires), and Sunray
buses. A fourth counter is stationed at the drop-off point for taxis and private
vehicles. Tents have also been set up beside the guardhouse and on the V-hire
terminal to provide additional seating for waiting passengers. THIS IS HYLLA MAE

ANCHOR 2 (PRINCE): REPATRIATION FLIGHT FROM ISRAEL READIED FOR 62 MORE


FILIPINOS. CRISTIAN JEFF LUDIVESE HAS THIS REPORT.

NEWS PRESENTER 2 (CRISTIAN): The Philippines is set to repatriate 62 Filipinos from


Israel, bringing the number of Filipino nationals fleeing the Middle East conflict to
123. The fourth repatriation flight from Tel Aviv will arrive in Manila next wek,
carrying 32 hotel workers, 28 caregivers, and two infants. The new batch of
repatriates will receive cash aid from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW),
the Overseas Workers’ Welfare Administration (OWWA), and the Department of
Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). The DMW chief declined to provide
details about the missing Filipinos due to their families' need for privacy. The
Philippines is also planning its first repatriation flight from Lebanon for 124 OFWs
who wish to return home. The Philippine government will send an augmentation
team to Israel to help in processing OFWs who wish to leave the war-torn country.

NEWS PRESENTER 3 (ANDREA): The Hamas militant group launched a surprise


attack on Israel on October 7, resulting in thousands of deaths and injuries. Israel
responded with a bombing campaign and a complete siege of the Gaza Strip,
leaving the region on the brink of war. At least 1,400 Israelis have died and 4,629
injured, while 7,326 in Gaza have been killed and 18,967 injured. Israeli Prime
Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is meeting with hostage families for the first time,
including abducted children. Israeli military spokesperson Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari
said 229 people captured in Israel are being held hostage in Gaza. The Israeli
Defense Forces (IDF) reported that several Hamas terrorists were killed in the

the start of the northeast monsoon season, causing expected cold temperatures
and winds. The strengthening of the high-pressure system over Siberia has led to
strong northeasterly winds over Northern Luzon. El Niño may trigger dry spells and
droughts in some areas during the fourth quarter of 2023 and the first quarter of
2024, potentially impacting water resources, agriculture, energy, health, and public
safety. The situation is expected to continue in the coming months. THIS IS
