 RULES & REGULATIONS
1. The Tournament is open to Tamil Nadu Players only.
2. The Latest FIDE Rules in force shall apply and the Swiss system will be followed.
3. Time Control: 20 minutes each
4. The first round will commence at 9 AM on 24/10/2023. The number of rounds and the round-wise
schedule will be announced at the tournament venue.
5. Players are requested to bring their own international chess sets (and chess clock if, any). Tiebreak:
Buchholz tiebreak system will be applied. In case of tie, prizes will not be shared. The Chief Arbiter's'
decisions' shall be final and binding on all players concerned.
6. Age proof Certificate must be produced for Children’s category prizes.
7. Entries close at 5 PM on 22/10/2023. No entry will be entertained after 5 P.M on 22/10/2023.Strictly
no Spot Entries.
8. TNSCA players registration is compulsory for all players. TNSCA registration fee is Rs.150/- for the
year of 2023-24.

10. Chengalpattu District Chess Association player registration fees is Rs 75/- for the year 2023-24
(Applicable for Chengalpattu players only)
11. Participation certificates will be awarded to all participants.
12. The TNSCA / Chengalpattu DCA / organizer SaamaGaana Chess Academy reserve the rights of
admission to the venue and lodging place.
13. Age Limit
Under – 8 Born on or After 01.01.2015
Under – 10 Born on or After 01.01.2013
Under – 12 Born on or After 01.01.2011
Under – 16 Born on or After 01.01.2007
Open – No Age Limit

Note: Food and snacks will be provided at the venue at an affordable cost on a pre-booking
basis during registration
