1.0 PURPOSE:
To outline steps for preparing and responding to emergencies, ensuring the safety of
personnel and assets.

2.0 SCOPE:
Applies to the entire manufacturing facility and all employees.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY:
 Management: Oversee and support emergency preparedness.
 Safety Officer: Lead emergency planning and training.
 All Employees: Follow the SOP during emergencies.

4.0 PROCEDURE
4.1. Identify Risks:
List potential emergencies: fires, power outages, equipment failures, etc.

4.2. Response Plan:

Create a plan detailing actions for each emergency.
Designate assembly areas and evacuation routes.
Ensure emergency equipment is accessible and functional.

4.3. Communication:
Use alarms or intercoms to alert employees.
Assign roles for contacting emergency services.

4.4. Training:
Train employees on the response plan and equipment use.
Conduct emergency drills periodically.

4.5. Post-Emergency:
Assess and document the situation after an emergency.
Update the response plan based on feedback.
