Comparators:
Voltage comparators are basic electronic devices that compare two input voltage
signals and determine their magnitude relationship. These devices have two inverting (-) and
non-inverting (+) input terminals, as well as a single output. When the voltage at the non-
inverting input is greater than the voltage at the inverting input, the output is high; when it is
lower, the output is low. Voltage comparators are essential for tasks such as digital signal
conditioning, threshold detection, and generating digital logic signals from analog inputs due
to their simple comparison capability.
The level detector configuration of the 339 voltage comparator IC utilizes its multiple
comparators to determine if an input voltage signal exceeds a specified threshold or reference
voltage. To implement it you typically connect the input voltage you want to monitor to one
of the non-inverting inputs of a comparator, and the reference voltage or threshold to the
inverting input. The other comparators can be similarly configured for different threshold
levels. When the input voltage exceeds the set threshold, the corresponding comparator's
output switches, signaling the detection of the level transition.

Conclusion:
We successfully
implemented the level detector
circuit and window
comparator circuit using the LM741
operational amplifier IC and
339 Comparator IC. The reference
voltage values were measured.
All other values as required in manual
were also measured and calculated. The practical results were compared with the Proteus
simulation.
