AN ORDER REORGANIZING THE

BARANGAY PHYSICAL FITNESS AND SPORTS DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL
( BPFSDC ) OF BARANGAY __________

WHEREAS, Article XIV, Section 19 (1) of the Philippine Constitution provides that the
state shall promote physical education and encourage sports, league competitions and amateur
sports, including training for international competitions, to foster self-discipline, teamwork and
excellence for the development of a healthy and alert citizenry;

WHEREAS, Section 389 (b) (13) provides that barangay shall conduct an Annual
Palarong Barangay which shall feature traditional sports and disciplines included in national
and international games, in coordination with the Department of Education;

WHEREAS, with the assumption to office of the newly elected barangay officials, there is
a need to reorganize all barangay special bodies specifically the Barangay Physical Fitness and
Sports Development Council (BPFSDC);

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Hon. _________, Punong Barangay of Barangay Barangay ______,

Naic, Cavite, do hereby order that:

Section 1. COMPOSITION. The Barangay Physical Fitness and Sports Development Council
(BPFSDC) of Barangay Barangay ______, Naic, Cavite is hereby reorganized and shall be
composed of the following:

Section 2. DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS. The Barangay Physical Fitness and Development
Council (BPFDC) shall have the following duties and functions:

1. Conduct meeting at least once a month.

2. Plan and formulate sectoral sports plan for implementation.

3. Conduct local palaro then monitor and assess said activity for improvement and
continuity.

4. Disseminate sports policies and programs to encourage wide and active

participation of constituents on physical fitness and sports activities.

5. Facilitate and identify talented and gifted athletes, recruit and prepare them to
qualify for national selection of representatives for international sports competitions.

6. Submit reports.
Section 3. EFFECTIVITY. This Order shall take effect immediately.
