THE ANTECEDENTS OF BULACAN STATE

UNIVERSITY-HAGONOY CAMPUS: WHAT IS IT
BEFORE AND HOW IT WAS ESTABLISH
(The only and foremost university in Hagonoy)
OBJECTIVES
• To recognize what is the history of the
BulSu-Hagonoy Campus as the first
University of Municipality of Hagonoy.

• To impart how it was establish and why

Hagonoy was the place where the satellite
campus will be establish

• To be inform what is the reason why the

school is not immediately open to the
public since it was establish already

• To know what are the happenings before

the school was officially open to the public.
INTRODUCTION

The Bulacan State University is establish along with two

barangays: Carillo and Iba. It is university that is committed
to the advancement of the knowledge and values common
to all educated persons.
Every student at the University is
obligated to take responsibilities for
their actions, to give respect for
constituted authority, to be truthful,
and to respect others's rights, as well
as to Private or Public Property.
 What was the Bulacan State
University-Hagonoy Campus before?
Some documents regarding the history of Bulacan
State Universit-Hagonoy Campus
The BulSu HC is a very big deserted land
before. You can only see is trees and grass
but there are also some inhabitants
growing a certain crops like papayas and
mangoes because of the soil's fertility but
most of the area is not being use. So the
government thought that establishing a
new school was a very excellent idea to use
the area.
But there are some inhabitants
in the area?
According to some resident live in that area,
one of them is Mr. Arnold Cabaña a 62 years
old, he said that once the school came to the
time that they need to occupy the area where
their houses was built this is time where they
need to say goodbye to their houses. They also
said that because in the first place, before they
build their houses in that area they knew that
its own by the government so they knew that
they do not had the rights to complain.
How it was establish?
It was on the year 1994 during the leadership of the
former mayor of Hagonoy Wilhelmino M. Sy-Alvarado
(Governor today) gave an approximately 8.5 hectares to
fulfill the need of the Bulacan State University to
established a satellite campus in Municipality of
Hagonoy.Through the help of former Senator Blas F. Ople
Jr. in his incumbency he manage to allocate a funds in
order to give the Bulacan State University to start to
establish the satellite campus. The fund were used to
fence the land and to establish the first two storey school
building with 16 classrooms.
According to Mr. Sierte a school staff he said that
he witness the entire happenings in the school in
the day that it was open. It was seventh of June
2011 with the precedency of the president of
BulSu Dr. Mariano C. De Jesus Ed.D. and through
the help of the former mayor of Hagonoy Angel
Boy L. Cruz and Governor Wilhelmino M.
Sy-Alvarado with Cong. Marivic R. Sy-Alvarado of
the first district they officially open the school to
the public.
Why they choose Hagonoy to be the
place where the satellite campus
will be establish?
During the seventh foundation week of BulSu HC one of
the speaker said the reason why they choose Hagonoy to
be the place where the Satellite Campus were establish is,
the Municipality of Hagonoy produce a successful persons
were people look up as to something to show worthiness,
idolize and veneration. The management of BulSu also
recognize that the people of Hagonoy has skills,
knowledges, and they also saw the hardships of
Hagoeñoes is very strong that are a capabilities that will
make them truly to become a successful persons someday.
The Governor of Bulacan, Governor Wilhelmino M.
Sy-Alvarado and the Former Senator Blas F. Ople are the
rigid proofs that Hagonoy is really brilliant and
extraordinary.
It was a great news to every students not only in
Hagonoy also the neighboor municipality like
Paombong and Calumpit that they do not need to
huddling to a bunch of students in the BulSU main
campus. Even there is a satellite campus in Hagonoy
many students choose to study to main campus,
maybe its because of deficiency of facilities and
learning materials, but many said that but if their
visions and missions are the same it mean they are
producing the same product with the same
knowledge and excellence. So because of that the
management of BulSu-HC is doubling their efforts on
how they give the very students a quality education
that they looking for.
 What is the reason why the school is not
immediately open to the public upon it was
establish?
There are many reasons why they
immediately open the school to the public.
According to some personnel of the school,
it was not immediately open because of
deficiency of funds, it became a temporary
barracks, military base and tranining
ground and because of death of Senator
Blas F. Ople.
What was the school before it
was officially open?
This site also become a temporary barracks of
Soldiers way back. According to Rodolfo Tiozon
a security guard of the school he said, that site
is the place were they did their trainings, he
train there for five days and some of the
school rooms were became a temporary
accommodations for them. He also said that
they called that place "CP" or "Command Post".
According to Mr. Sierte those houses also
serve as accomodations for the soldiers way
back
Is it true that there are something happen
before it was open to the public?
There is some rumours that there are toruring and
murdering take place in that area. The last
question of the interview that being conducted is
"Accoring to rumours that there are some torturing
and murdering take place in this area?" But he
ended the interview saying "No comment and its
very confidential". In his statement is he trying to
say that there are really is? but its hard to speak in
it without proofs.
One of the security guard of the school answer
the last question of the interview he said, he
also heard some rumours that there are really
is. He also heard that there are some dead
bodies deliver to the school and once they
identify their personal informations thay will
send it to their relatives. Mr. Sierte has a
contradicting statement in regards on this topic
he said that it is very ridiculous and wildly
unreasonable because school is a very
respectable place.
Some changes and improvements
happen in the school

All of the students had a very long
exasperating vacant time everyday—waiting
for their next class and the library does not
have an enough space to accommodate all of
the students, so adding more nipa hut as a
student lounge is a great improvement for
the school, so the students are now can do
their activities, group studies or reviewing for
the next class.

Its very noticeable that there is an eatery
or canteen that will see once you enter
the left side of the school building but
now they remove it and make a more
spacious parking lot. They do not remove
the canteen actually they just place at
the back of the school building.
Now the school is aiming for prominency,
standing out from its excellency and its
conspicuouness that has a competency to
produce a globally competitive, ethical
and service oriented proffesionals that
will contribute to the growth and
development of the entire nation.
