Make a list on how you can prevent accidents that can cause injuries in the following places:
STAIRWAYS:
• Take your time when going down the stairs, never rush down.
• Watch your steps while going down the stairs.
• Always use the handrails just in case if you slip.
• Walk each step, never skip a step while going down.
• Avoid using your mobiles because it can be distracting while going down.
KITCHEN:
• Keep your kitchen clean. This will prevent kitchen injuries and give you the space to work
when needed.
• Store dangerous object in a safe location where your children can’t reach it.
• Keep counters clear of clutter. Put away dishes and utensils after you cleaned them.
• Avoid getting burned while cooking by using mitts or pot holder.
• Wearing the appropriate clothing for cooking will make sure you limit exposed skin to
prevent against splashing.
STREETS:
• When crossing the road, always check left and right to ensure no cars will hit you while
crossing. Always use the pedestrian lane when crossing.
• When you’re driving, always keep your eyes on the road. Avoid distraction like texting or
talking on the phone.
• Always use your seatbelt when driving, especially when you’re driving on the highways.
• Know your road signs. When driving, you should know the signs to avoid confusion while
driving on the road.
• Always follow the speed limit on the road.
RECREATIONAL AREA:
• Always watch your kids when playing just in case if something happened to them.
• When walking a pet, always leash your pet to avoid accidents like biting people.
• When your pet is pooping, always pick up the poop so people won’t step on them.
• Always wear the appropriate outfit and equipment when biking, hiking, and so more to avoid
rashes and especially accidents.
• Always check the weather before going outside to prevent accidents.
BEACH:
• When swimming, always go to the shallow area of the sea to avoid drowning.
• Always wear sunscreen when going to the beach to avoid getting sunburned from the sun.
• Never swim alone just in case something happened to you, there’s someone who can help
you.
• Wear proper swimwear and footwear when going for a swim.
• Always drink plenty of water to avoid hydration because the beach is a hot place to be in.
