“No religion is responsible for terrorism. People are responsible for violence and
terrorism”-Barack Obama

Nepal supports peaceful resolution through negotiations and peace processes in Afghanistan,
emphasizing representation of all ethnic groups. We are deeply concerned about the
humanitarian crisis and call for international aid, especially for vulnerable groups. Nepal also
underscores the importance of counterterrorism efforts within international law. We endorse
regional cooperation to address security concerns and promote Afghanistan's economic
development for regional stability.

Nepal, though not directly engaged in the Afghanistan Conflict, actively backs diplomatic
solutions and global initiatives for peace. As a UN member, Nepal consistently promotes
dialogue and non-interference, offering humanitarian aid to alleviate Afghan suffering. While
Nepal's role is mainly diplomatic and humanitarian, it underscores its dedication to regional
stability and peace.

The Afghanistan Conflict has garnered extensive international involvement. Nations like the
United States and NATO allies have been active in military operations and peace
negotiations, while regional powers such as Pakistan, Iran, China, and Russia have influenced
the conflict's dynamics. International organizations like the United Nations have facilitated
humanitarian aid and peace talks through missions like UNAMA. Humanitarian
organizations such as the ICRC and Médecins Sans Frontières have provided vital aid. The
conflict has seen significant global efforts for a peaceful resolution and to address the
humanitarian crisis.

The Afghanistan-Taliban issue may pose future challenges, including human rights
violations, terrorism risks, refugee crises, economic instability, and social upheaval.
Addressing these issues requires sustained international attention and efforts to ensure a
stable and secure Afghanistan.

Resolving the Afghanistan-Taliban issue demands multifaceted solutions. Firstly, diplomacy

and inclusive negotiations should take precedence, involving all Afghan factions and
international stakeholders to reach a comprehensive peace agreement. Humanitarian aid must
be increased to alleviate suffering and support vulnerable populations. Counterterrorism
efforts should be coordinated regionally while respecting international law and human rights.
To ensure lasting stability, international development assistance and economic investments
are vital. Lastly, international oversight mechanisms should be established to monitor and
ensure compliance with any peace agreements.
